Nice, you kept your receipts lol. Good job with your predictions. (y)

My argument is that I don't think the loss of Hill is significant and therefore our corners are just as frightening as they were last year. Ramsey can be played in the slot if Morris wants to continue doing that.

To me that would be a waste & dumb. The great thing about Hill,Williams & RAMsey last season was they could be moved around which made the defense better.

I’m inclined to agree, Castamere.

If either Long or Rochell can effectively replace Hill then I think this secondary is in fine shape. Maybe better than last year, tbh.

Would leave Fuller/Burgess at Safety and Rapp free to move all over the place at Morris’ discretion with some nice depth at Safety.

Next year we probably lose DW, unfortunately, but Rochell was drafted to replace him, I think as a boundary CB. Probably gonna need to draft a nickel CB next year unless a gem is already on the roster that we don’t yet know about. Snead has been known to constantly keep his CB pipeline full via low draft picks and UDFA’s.

Yeah - Tru Johnson getting FRANCHISED Twice & Joyner once.
I’d say getting Comp picks for McCloud,Johnson & Joyner helped.

Rapp- Long & Scott & trading for RAMsey & developing Williams & Hill

Burgess & Fuller plus adding UDRFA’s

Hill will be bring a Comp Pick.

Les Snead & Demoff had failed with the DB’s before Sean Mcvay in my opinion. JJ21 I think brought a comp pick as well. — Mo Alexander was released & Joyner moved to FS.EJ was a nice late draft pick from Mizzu.

I think Rochelle was a nice value pick
& who knows.I believe he was not well coached & played scared wanting to make it in the NFL & not get hurt. That is my hope.

I like how Scott developed in 2020.He earned more playing time than David Long.I have to LMAO to think Troy Hill didn’t meant that much to the Rams.
To me if you develop pick up a player for free like McCloud,Littleton,Hill,Fox,Williams, and get a Comp pick for them your winning with that player.Service plus Comp pick means to be the coach & scouting is doing there job well.

BTW- how did this post go from Stafford & Kupp to Troy Hill sucks or won’t be missed. I have to add JJ43 is gone as well.McSnead traded back to draft him for Wade Phillips. He was a add on imo who The Rams should get a Comp pick for as well? I’m actually excited to see The Dawg Pound back.
Those 2 Ram players IMO will help make that defense in Cleveland a Top 5 rated D”

I’ll add Pleasant will have himself one of the better group of NFL DB’s in Detroit as well. Will see what he does there as well.I thought he did an excellent job. Will he ever make it as a DC? I’m not sure about a HC,but time will tell.He has a passion for Life & Family.I wish him luck.
—Goff & Brockers & add those 2 GM/Assistant GM .There will be a be Leadership change there.I know all of them bring a Great Attitude & are all good for the NFL game.

That's what I meant. Ramsey, /Williams/whoever, can still be moved around interchangeably. I wasn't saying that Ramsey should solely be playing slot.

@So Ram There's a difference between saying someone sucks and saying they're replaceable. I said TH had a good year last year but I also think the other guys can step up and fill his void.

Don't we have a more appropriate thread for discussing CBs?
Yeah we can get back to discussing the offensive side of the video, but the DB discussion relates to the coverage within the video so it's not completely off topic.

It's just a little odd to click on a thread titled Stafford to Kupp and find CB talk. I actually had to go back to the top to make sure I was in the right thread. :zany:

23 is Juju Hughes who was in coverage. His not correctly reading the play killed any chance he had

Troy Hill isn't with the Rams anymore because he lacked the long speed to play man coverage. Staley's scheme normally played to his strength, i.e. heavy zone. But there were aspects of that scheme that called for man coverage and that is when he was exposed.

Yes as the OP - It was meant to be a celebration of finally seeing Stafford on the field slinging it
with the horns on his head.
But I think we missed the turn at albuquerque

Will see how much Hill will be missed.I just think the DB’s played well & the depth has gotten better.
JJ is another one of those guys are well. How it plays its self out is another thing.
-Fuller was the 4th DB from Ohio St. taken in the 2020 draft. He was obviously over looked. His speed will get exposed though if caught in a one on one situation.

Fair enough.I have some concerns though.I like David Long & think he a talented young player. The depth is another thing though.Hard to replace that this season.Experience matters.

For the bang of the buck,I’d take Troy Hill over Peters. He was to expensive to keep.

Stafford & Kupp will be a tough guard for DB’s. I think he will have more time to get downfield like the rest of the WR’s in 2021.

What will be the bigger difference

YAC or Passes of more than 10 yards ?
