I am no longer surprised, bummed, angry, concerned, etc. It’s just like whatever now. Shrug and drink another in toast to last year’s SB Championship.
Unfortunately I am with you. I am resigned to a losing season due to our OL.

Even if we went to a more press intensive defense and got turnovers, I doubt we would win the game.

Our OL with all these injuries just can't be good.

As to Allen & Noteboom....Unfortunately with both they have durability issues too. I feel Shelton could be a very good future Center and although I applaud Allen, he seems to struggle with pressures plus his knee is ongoing issue and he always seems to be on the injured list even if he's healthy. As to Noteboom, he has not played a full season since the Rams called on him to be a starter so this just adds to the Offensive Line woes.
Shelton also always seems hurt. TBH if we're going to get rid of OL with recent injury issues we'll only have Hav left.

That's a good point, last year I don't recall Shelton being injured, but then again, he did not start every week either. Hopefully, next year the injuries Gods will go a tad easier on the men up front.

It's a damn good thing Havenstein survived OND's electronic persecution isn't it. :laugh1:

Geez with Allen out that moves Shelton to center. He's playing hurt but still playing.

Nsekhe, Edwards, Shelton, Aboushi, & Havenstein

Not exactly a solid OL. Both Edwards and Aboushi have a tendency to be swinging doors. They had better start Perkins until they see how this OL functions. Bryce has escapability that Matt doesn't. Short quick dink and dunk not to expose the OL. Simple zone blocking both inside and out in the run game.

Morris cannot play his good enough defense conceding FGs. He must play for 3 n outs. Bench Lewis and play Hollins at DE with Gervase at WIL. Or play a nickel with a 3rd SS at WIL.

Well maybe if we concentrated on getting OL in the draft, maybe Havenstein would have 4 different guys who might not be injury prone

But then again - maybe not

Most everybody around here has wanted more OL in the draft for years now. I have had CB just as high and usually told no that position was fine. Edge is right there with it next year for me. Actually think our top 3 should be Edge IOL and RB next year. Was thinking bout doing a mock but it's too early still.

Stafford Clears Concussion Protocol

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has cleared concussion protocol, putting him on track to start Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, the team announced.

Stafford missed the Week 10 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, and head coach Sean McVay said earlier this week that he expected the veteran to clear protocol in time to return Sunday.

The 34-year-old fully participated in practice throughout the week and did not receive an injury designation for the meeting against the Saints.

Atwell on the quick slant. Not slants, as he'll only survive the first hit.

I am glad to see it.

I am not as down on Wolford as some. That was his first game action… and I don’t believe his accuracy is as bad as we saw last Sunday.

This offseason I wouldn’t mind finding a developmental guy… but I’d also prefer a Flacco type. Someone that is tested and could get hot if needed.
Nothing personal but Wolford can scramble when necessary and little else that equates to an NFL caliber QB.

You could be right. We haven’t seen much otherwise.

I have been on record not liking our strategy with Wolford or Perkins. I think a team that has deep playoff aspirations needs a veteran / experienced type that can get hot for multiple games… like a Foles, Flacco, Fitzpatrick.

Wolford and/or Perkins only feel a spot starter, to me, if that. And to your point, neither has a resume. Not ideal for a team built to win now.

Wolford has had 3 or 4 games to show what he's got, and so far it's nothing.

For the long term this might help Stafford develop some chemistry with Robinson. He won't have his security blanket in Kupp for a month or so. This season's shot. If they want to get back to being among the better teams next year Stafford needs more than just Kupp. He gets his 10 catches for 130 yards and a TD but they only score 13 points. Unless Kupp is good for 40 touchdowns that won't win many games.
