Way too much to cut 'n paste. May even deserve its own thread, but it would just turn into this one anyway so leaving it here. But a great read. :thumbsup1:

Would come with a cool nickname though. So there’s that

ALREADY HOF 1ST BALLOT!!!
Bottomline if he wanted the MVP he should of got this team to win out, now that we are in the predicament we are in now for playoff seeding his health is more important to get the entire team to the super bowl. Needs rest for the remainder of the season. Now if he can still win the MVP without playing anymore regular season games moving forward then cool.

Lol way to be an asshole for no reason

You claim you dont like polarizing threads and then proceed to make it even more polarizing.

Just becausr you "say" you dont care about something doesnt mean that no one else does

I literally saw it talked about on every sports show early this week.

Your crass reaction also makes it clear you obviousky care
Wasn't my intent and I have no issue with your interest in the MVP voting.

I also said it was sarcasm unworthy of blue font

My question about hiding certain threads wasn't only in response to this thread.
I and most of us know Stafford has been the better player I am not a fan of reading more bias against he or the Rams

Have a great New Year
I assure you it wasn't personal

I’m not so sure it’s a question of caring so much as it was an indictment on the “true depth” on the Rams roster.

They’re leaking oil while heading for the finish line.
A powerful run game isn’t as reliable when your two best OL are out. Humphries renewed the need to draft an OT early. He gave up some easy pressures/sacks that were putrid. Not having Adams in the lineup has shown the need for a bigger outside WR. Poor tackling and a tired pass rush is exposing the defense. They can’t get off the field when they need a stop and have suddenly become susceptible to the big play.

Bottoms line? The Rams roster is not as deep as we had thought and depending on it NOW?
…The Rams are in trouble if THIS is the playoff roster.
Naw if they wanted to win Adams and Alaric would have played, maybe Dotson too.

Once they had no shot at #1 they dialed it back and got smoked in the first half.

WTF? This is a pretty drastic reaction don’t you think?

I realize you started this thread and all but just because someone doesn’t like it, is no reason to say he’s an asshole for his opinion.

This is not a response I would expect from you man. Not at all.

Did the other guy Warner was competing against for the MVP have better stats than him and play one of the hardest schedules of all time for a playoff team?

You just can’t ignore the fact that Maye has played a historically weak schedule and has beaten less teams over .500 than the fucking ny giants lmao

Not only can you ignore but the voters will ignore it as well. Guaranteed. Warner played a historically weak schedule as well, with the ‘99 Rams losing to the one and only team in the regular season it played with a winning record.

MVP voters don’t give a shit about SoS.

I will bet you 100 bucks he doesn’t win MVP.

All the people making the strength of schedule argument make me laugh. I very much doubt any of you cared about strength of schedule and its effect on the MVP race in 1999.
Right on. I’ll take that bet. I was 7 during the 99 season so I wouldn’t know. But these voters aren’t going to care about pissing on the Jets nearly as much as fans seem to.

You can’t just take away an entire season of elite QB play because of one game. It’s not the December player of the month award. It’s a season MVP award.

BTW, Warner was only the second player ever to throw for 40 TDs at the time. And he led a historical offense. Maye has not done either of those things this year so I don’t find it as an apt comparison.

Right. They care about stats
Warner led the league in yards, td passes and points per game

Thanks, I wasn’t seven during the 99 season. I remember it very, very clearly.
