Stafford is the cure for the off-season hangover.

I’m as excited as I was at the when I saw Martz and the GSOT destroy the 49ers in 1999, for the first time in years. That game was beautiful.

This is the most optimistic I have been to start an offseason since after the GSOT Super Bowl win.

I guess a lot could change depending on how free agency pans out. I think they will get the holes filled and have a very strong team.

That game was awesome. Bruce with 4 TDS. Sure miss the special teams play we had then. Remember Lawrence Phillips-forgot the Niners grabbed him.

I am not energized right now, I am just cautiously optimistic.

Speaking of the Green Bay game I think Goff played well enough to win with a healthy Donald. Really the defense is what let the team down.

Goff had some real bed-crappers this year. The worst was against Miami but both SF games and Seattle probably helped seal his fate. On the flip side one of his best games this season was against Tampa.

I like Stafford but if he fails this could be a career killer for Snead and it may possibly cost McVay his job too.

We all have our methods with approaching a move like this. Years of failure can make you jaded. You almost expect things to go sideways. I was like that before McVay. Now I approach it with more optimism. Instead of if he fails, I approach it like what if it all works out. What if Stafford was the missing ingredient? The oddsmakers sure think their odds are much better now.

Yeah, Phillips was such a huge risk. Old Vermiel was too sentimental. You can’t fix everything with love.

Phillips was like a Fisher pick, character be damned, Ill just act like his buddy and it’ll all work out.

Well, in all fairness, Vermeil didnt draft him, Brooks did. And Vermeil was also the one who cut him. He just was too sentimental in crying about it

I've hear the talking heads saying Tom Brady going to the Bucs, and winning it all, has many other teams now rethinking their strategy as far as getting a really good vet QB and go "all in" to try and win it all. Well, the Rams were ahead of the curve, already had this figured out and got their guy before the crap hits the fan. Good job L.A. Rams!

110million guaranteed not including his rookie contract or endorsements.

Yeah I say it was more than fair for him. He couldn’t produce proper and got the boot, thank goodness.

I've gone back and watched a LOT of Stafford's highlights and lowlights. I can confidently say he's a big upgrade over Goff. We are back in the super bowl next season, I'm pretty darn sure.

Not only did they grab him, but it was Phillips' missed block/assignment that ended Steve Young's career.....by way of a hit by future Ram great Aeneas Williams.....

How did this become a discussion of the merits of keeping or moving Cooper Kupp?

I guess a potentially negative side effect of all this, the Rams are now an off-season media story and they seem to approve of this move.

For being in LA, the Rams have largely avoided status.

I don’t know how I feel about the media liking us.

I think last night proved that it doesn't matter who your QB is if your offensive line can't pass block consistently.

We need a stud Center.

If we don't get an upgrade at ILB or even a deep threat, I think we'll be fine.

But without an upgrade at Center... we're still gonna have those games...

I want an impact guy with that round 2 pick. Don't care what position either. It could be ILB and I'm fine with that. Just go get an elite guy that slips through due to this covid shit and all the restrictions. If its an Edge or Center even better of course.
