the excitement of hearing the rams were moving from ST louis to L.A. was blissful. hiring McVay was an unknown. taking the team to another level better than 7-9 bullshit with 2 Superbowl appearances and 1 Superbowl under McVay was exciting and prideful. expecting the rams to have turned a corner after super bowl win with more winning football not happening, disappointment. watching the wheels fall of and become a laughingstock again, priceless. go rams.

Just have to see how the rest of this season and next season go.

If after next year we look the same as now -then yeah hard questions will start to be real.

you are right, I did not expect them to not struggle. I expected a better gameplan for struggling this year. why leave Stafford out there with a porous offline and not address the backup position? they knew he was going to get hurt. we knew it. that's why staff gets the big money. I expected them to win games they should win. we have a top tier coach, right? let's see how this half plays out, I'm always hoping for a turnaround of any kind. I hate the niners by the way. they looked pretty good again. lol. go rams.

Personally, this is pretty much what I expected.

The Rams have $76M in Dead-$. 2nd-highest in the NFL. The League-average is $33M. They have more than $60M in Dead-$ just for Ramsey, Floyd and Robinson. That’s more than 29-of-the-32 teams in the NFL.

The only team in the NFL that did not sign a free agent from another team during Free Agency was the Rams!

Everything they did from last March until now has been about getting the Salary Cap in order for 2024 and beyond. Management even said this is what they were going to do. They chose to use the word “Re-set” instead of re-tool, re-work or God-forbid, re-build.

I understand the current frustration of losing. I understand the timing of it because losing sucks.

I also understand the disappointment of where the Team appears to be at this moment.
What I do Not understand is feeling the disappointment right now. The time to be disappointed was in the off-season, when the Rams were making all the moves and decisions that put them where they are right now.

When Jalen Ramsey was traded for a third round draft choice and a mere $5.6M of cap relief, with a cost of $19.6M in Dead-$ … THAT was the time to feel disappointment because that’s when the 2023 Season was destined to be a very frustrating year.

In my opinion, some posters failed or refused to see what, to some of us, was crystal-clear.
The Rams are just not talented enough. Those who thought otherwise, were just wrong.

That could have basically been the title to the memo the front office sent out to season ticket holders in the offseason. None of this season is a surprise outside of the terrible officiating. Which isn't a surprise just not something we all take into account during offseason hopes and dreams lol.

That's true. I think we as fans started to get ahead of ourselves when our team was punching above its weight class in the first few weeks.

Let his hip, thumb and whatever else is ailing him-shoulder? Heal fully. Let Wentz roll maybe he can build some momentum. Limit Kupp, Higbee and Havenstein as well (well I believe Higbee should be gone next year). We have lots of young players who need reps. Why risk our 35 year old QB behind a mediocre Oline? Stafford is here to win Championships not to get us 7 or 8 wins at best

I hardly think they went all in. Majority of their team is home grown. Trading for McCaffrey wasn’t an “all in” move. That was getting a player in his prime who will contribute for years. Claypool was a low risk-high reward trade. Unfortunately, I don’t see an astronomical implosion happening to the 49ers. Sure, they won’t be able to resign everyone and will lose players, but the unfortunately draft well.

What really pisses me off the most id getting rid of players who are under contract and taking a big dead money hit. There should be a way to let them walk if they want (looking at you Ramsey) and not be saddled with the dead money.

Working a deal to “do right by the player” while fucking the team over financially is just dumb.

Agreed. A lot of the contracts given, and traded have been irresponsible at best. I am not sure who deserves the most blame there (Snead, McVay, Pastoors, Demoff) but it has been a major thorn in the salary cap the last few years.

Allen2McVay is dead on in his assessment; but having said that, YOUR point is where my frustration lies. This isn’t about participation trophies and “we’ll get ‘em next year”. This is about building a championship roster/team. Learning how to win when it’s there for the taking or and perseverance in a tough game is crucial to future success. The Rams showed that in the 2021 postseason.

Those games you mentioned should have kept this team hungry and confident with a 6-3 record. Think about that. Not unrealistic at all to think the Rams SHOULD be 6-3 right now. Who knows how this team comes out vs the seahawks with that record as opposed to the team we’re going to see Sunday and beyond. Just a shame.

Champions win on a bad day. They don’t make a habit out of leaving wins on the table.

Stafford will take hits when he's out there. If he's on then the Rams have a chance to win, but if the accuracy is off then it's going to be a long day.
