Are Dodger dogs as good as they used to be in the 70's?

Couldn't comment as I was born in 79 but yeah I like em just fine. Wash down with an El Jalisco, or A Golden Road, or a Modelo and thats tough to beat.

I dont eat much at games, just a few cold beers and a dog is all I need. AT SoFi at the Corona Beach house they had Gin and Tonic in cans that was pretty cool, never seen that....

I usually eat at the tailgate before going into the stadium... but the few times I have eaten stadium food it was always a hot pretzel with a shit ton of mustard.

They switched from Farmer John within the last year or so.

They went with a local hot dog maker.
I'm not sure how good they are, though.
I wasn't able to go to a game last season

Hot dogs or polish dogs are a must at all games. And that nacho cheese is disgusting @CGI_Ram :sick2:As bad as pineapple on a pizza.

I'm amazed that we have an entire generation of Americans who believe that processed 'nacho cheese sauce' dispensed from a pump is what they may consider as Mexican food. Hell, ... it's more oil than cheese. Imagine an entire #10 can of cheese sauce for under $6-$7 dollars, then imagine what a gallon of real melted cheddar cheese would cost.

My opinion of hot dogs is actually much lower than with 'cheese' sauce, ... eating snouts, hooves, beaks & mechanically separated meat (aka - white slime) which is a concoction of a puree which includes bone, bone marrow, skin, nerves & blood vessels. If you are going to eat a hot dog, at least make sure it's 'all beef' where mechanically separated 'meat' isn't an ingredient. I don't eat hot dogs very often, but I'm more than happy to spend double the usual for all beef Hebrew National, where they supposedly use 'premium cuts' of beef as opposed to who knows what.

I love cheap ass hotdogs. All beef franks are too dry for me. Give me them beaks, bones, and blood vessels please. :thumbsup1:

Happy Birthday GIF

That dog does not look happy. Which reminds me; sometimes I wonder why so many BBQ places have logos of happy pigs, like famous Dave's where the pig chef is smiling while holding up a slab of ribs. That's one fucked up piggy. Now, if I owned a BBQ place my logo would be more realistic, id have a terrified pig shaking in the corner with a puddle of pee between his legs. Would it hurt sales? Maybe, but the ribs I sold would be honest ribs.

The hot dogs sold at food carts outside of Rams games are really good. They had 'em outside of the Coliseum, and now they come to SoFi, too. Really tasty beefy dogs with grilled veggies and jalapeños and all the sauces. Hearty and tasty (and messy). Better than the food sold inside the stadium IMHO.
Danger dogs where they cook them on radiator grills and wrap them in bacon. Bomb...

Didn’t know that, FJ has been such a huge Dodger sponser forever it seems

Their processing plant is off Vernon Ave in LA, lol, it does get too much more local than that

I can still hear Vin Scully barking “Farmer John”

That's why I go with brats instead of hotdogs. Brats actually taste like actual food. :D

Funny back in the day. A Dodger dog or a Shea dog.Brown’s dark mustard?

Manhattan dogs vs a street Vendor dog after a show. Damn those things fresh & hog.especially after a bunch of drinks.

Last corn dog was about 2/3 months ago 10am. AM PM 2 for $3. Talk about 7 packs of mustard on 2 dogs trying to drive & eat. Better have a wash cloth Or all kinds of napkins.Still a corn dogs is a jR/high lunch special.2 ice cream sandwiches & a milk.Talk about a bipolar lunch.Really messes up your mind & body.

Then again those bean/beef burrito’s & going to class.Hard woods seats & try not to fart.

Each stadium has there own thing. Garlic Fries at ATT Park. Angel stadium (sushi) way before,. Otani days .Use to be a bug So Cal. Joke. They weren’t served at Rams games ???

Summer leagues at CSULB Pyramid those Nachos & cheese. Extra sauce & pickled jalapeños. AM PM again.
711’s .

Hot pretzels outside at Shea ?? I just remember salt or no salt & then mustard to dip.

Baseball games, just peanut’s & shelling.I’d get them with a box for shells.Peanut man though you just make a mess.

Those are great memories, I definitely ate at baseball games more then football games. I agree we your previous post about hot dogs outside the stadium or dirty water dogs, nothing better and I'm sure the vegan generation would have a cow, no pun intended.
