REMINDER... our new SportsBook season began recently! All members were sent $70K to start.

SportsBook is an annual “game” for ROD Members. If you own a ROD account, you already have SportsBook cash ready and waiting to wager.

You can start now, and with games coming this weekend! It’s all for fun and bragging rights!

SPORTSBOOK CASH

SPORTSBOOK CASH is used to crown our “SportsBook Champ”. SportsBook cash is used exclusively for wagers in ROD SportsBook.

SportsBook Bookies are responsible to oversee the fairness of wagers and may be required to amend set wagers as part of oversight. Bookies are volunteers, simply it’s possible in the coordination between them corrections are required. It’s a game, these are our game managers.

With this system, we will issue a weekly paycheck to all members. You don’t have to do anything… if you are not a gambler. It will just accumulate.

The paycheck is $TBD set, but will be same for all. Weekly.

The goal here is to wager your paycheck to win the most SportsBook cash, site-wide.

The balances for SportsBook Cash are seen here:

And on your member card, by clicking your name anywhere on the site.

*** BOTH SportBook and Participation Credits are RESET each year at the first day of the new league year. This starts everything fresh for the new season.

@flv pushed $10,000 SportsBook cash to all members yesterday as the weekly paycheck...

Everyone has a fresh $10K to wager for the week!

At quick glance... >$500,000 SportsBook Cash wagered for today’s games. That’s a healthy chunk of the SportsBook economy... :D

Leaderboard shake up coming...

Don’t tell me @flv how much I lost! It had to be close to $100K.

What a brutal day, for me anyway...

I didn‘t have a great vibe going in on many of these, so I spread my wagers around a little more than normal... picked about every losing bet perfectly! :D

at least TB won..gives me money to bet on tonights game.

It has not been a good year betting wise for me, not good at all. Think I am under 10% winning bets

As a bookie it's nice to see members who haven't even signed in for 2+ years on the Sportsbook cash leader's page. :sneaky:

In other words... the wagering population has lost more cash than those not making wagers. :D

At least as you get further down the leaderboard.

I've paid out more on Rams wins than i've made on Rams losses. The leaderboard isn't a totally accurate picture at the moment because bets on futures show as cash out without any reward. It's disappointing there isn't more interest in the Sportsbook but it's understandable given outside events. It's a shame we can't give members who sign-in regularly a few more ROD$ just to keep inactive accounts off the leaderboard. Something to think about for next year.

Is there a way to pass out the weekly stipend to just members who are active in the last month or so?

Or even as a free bet ?

Its limited to mass send. It’s not a great leaderboard design, but only 1 player off being full.

It was a bad week and wiped a few off the board. Plus there are futures still out on tonight ~$73,000 so far.

I’m back on the board with a win...

I don't know. I don't have access to the settings so I can't see what is or isn't possible. There are certainly things about the Sportsbook i'd like to change. For example the Sportsbook page now has a "View all upcoming events" button that displays all open events in closing time order. It would be nice if that was the default setting. I only have access to the hand out cash/reset all cash feature. That feature only gives me the option to hand out cash to everyone or only those who aren't currently banned. The forum software allows for members to be put in multiple groups. For example you could create a Pick'em group or Fantasy Football group. The Pick'em software allows the Pick'em manager to choose which groups he/she allows entry to, (see attachment). As far as I know Sportsbook and Sports cash don't have the same options.

I expect Week 4 to be quiet if we're 13 point favourites against the Giants.

Putting whatever money I have on the under for TNF.. Jets Denver
You and everyone else. The current line is 40, -110 both sides. That would be the lowest Totals line for any of the 64 games through Week 4.
