The options out there at QB have been tossed around ad nauseum. None of them are particularly exciting.

Unless Snead and Fisher pull a rabbit out of a hat, the best option will remain Bradford.

It is what it is now.

They should have looked at this last year... I love Donald... and I think Robinson will be fine and Joyner has lots of potential... but there were some very decent options at QB last year with those slots.

Part of being a GM is looking ahead and preparing for the worst.

Had they looked ahead, they would have seen the lack of real options at QB this year.
Had they prepared for the worst (Bradford getting re-injured), they would have seen that picking a QB last year in the higher rounds was the prudent thing to do.

I know... hindsight is 20/20.... but it wouldn't have taken an immense amount of forethought to see this potentially happeneing.

Maybe that rabbit shows up :)

Hard to argue any of your points lol.

The Bills are going to have to one up the current bid on the table, acccording to ROD rumor last week, of 2 first rounders (plus johnny Football) by the Brownies

Three first rounders and a bag of chips?

That fair since we have not seen much of Bradford the last couple of years :)
Right.
All we would be replacing in Bradford would be his potential. Because his career output hasnt been much different than last year QB's who combined for 63% comp, 3700 passing yards, 21 td 16 Int and 84 rating

That said, there isnt a doubt in my mind that Bradford wont be traded. Not a chance.

If bradford goes to Buffalo - Buffalo becomes new rams and rams become Buffalo. How does this even benefit either teams?

Yeah... I don't see what Beefalo could offer the Rams in return.
I'd strongly consider taking their #1 next year. I don't see Buffalo suddenly becoming a powerhouse, even despite Rex Ryan being there.

It seems this report was false anyway.

If he's healthy, I would fully expect him to take them to the playoffs with that defense. I don't know why so many people pee pee on him the way that they do.
I can answer that for you

Buffalo has shot this rumor down. Now there is a report that zero teams have inquired about Bradford.

Only thing I dont like about this is this is giving the Bradford and Condon the leverage over contract negotiations if indeed it is the rams plans to restructure and keep bradford this year. But if they are serious about trading him this is good news. nothing drives up the price like multiple bidders.
He has all the power anyway.
There are no FA QBs of value.

wow...Bradford is brittle enough when playing in the dome, Imagine how brittle those bones would be playing in Buffalo

Maybe, but I'm not so sure teams are really chomping at the bit to trade for Bradford when he hasn't seen a football field in almost 2 seasons and is getting paid out the ass.

True.
Bradford certainly is under no obligation to redo his deal.
That is his control, but, it doesn't make sense for him to let himself get cut over money either.

Sam Bradford needs to work something out if he wants my respect. He has taken this team for a lot of $$$$$ without earning it. I hope he'll be a stand up guy and help his team like Brady (GOD I HATED SAYING THAT NAME!!) and Manning did for their teams. #ramsfanfor40years #ramsnation #ramsfanforlife

No team has contacted Rams regarding Sam Bradford

By Chris Wesseling

Despite recent reports of interest from the Buffalo Bills or Cleveland Browns, a Sam Bradford trade remains highly unlikely.

As of Tuesday, no team has contacted the St. Louis Rams about trading for their enigmatic quarterback, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via sources informed of situation.

Because Bradford has missed the majority of the past two seasons and will have to compete to keep his starting job, the Rams have pressured him to accept a reduction in his $13 million salary that counts $16.6 million against the salary cap in the contract's final year.

After balking at that request, Bradford's agent was allowed to contact other teams to gauge the quarterback's value. To this point, that has not sparked movement.

While a trade is theoretically possible, Bradford's perceived value is diminished by an outsized salary no longer befitting an underperforming player coming off a twice-torn ACL.

Per Rapoport, it would take an extraordinarily desperate team to satisfy the Rams' demand for compensation (second-round draft pick?) while also taking on Bradford's bloated contract on a one-year rental.

While he's certainly a more attractive option than EJ Manuel or Johnny Manziel, Bradford has never lived up to the regard in which he's held by NFL scouts. He has too often been skittish in the pocket and scattershot with his accuracy, stifling the offense.

Bradford's agent can't be blamed for seeking a team willing to shell out the full salary, but the Rams believe the best-case scenario for both sides is a pay cut to finally rebuild his value as St. Louis' franchise quarterback.

Are the Rams underestimating the level of Bills' desperation in a bleak quarterback market? That's what Bradford's camp is selling.

So Rappaport is the be all end all of all Rams "inside" info?

Good grief, this is painful.
And the draft is what, 6 weeks away?

Wow, I wonder what Saint's boards were like when Drew Brees was "almost" traded before his last contract extension. I mean, I remember reports that they were looking to ship him out because they were at a contract impasse. I was actually shocked - shocked! - that they were able to get a deal done. I mean, once PFT reported that the Saints were "discussing it" I was sure Brees was a goner.
