I feel the articles should have always been written. I was never as all-in on Snead as many here were. All-too-willing to give up extreme draft capital for rental players, handing out contracts years before they have to be addressed, a number of acquisitions not panning out, etc.
Everything came together for a couple of years and we had a charmed existence, because Stan seemed willing to completely open the checkbook in a show of creating a winning culture in LA to drive those season ticket sales (and make no mistake about it, that's what the Goff and Gurley contracts were). Now that we're about to move in to the new stadium and all of us PSL holders are 3 years in and fully committed, they start purging the faces of the franchise and trying to sell us on this idea that a bunch of 3rd and 4th round picks are going to somehow keep us playing at a Super Bowl level, just like he did in St. Louis.
I understand teams that play at a top level can't keep everybody, but look at who we have left? AD, lost-three-steps-last-year Whit, Kupp, Goff? That feels like it's about it. We likely won't let Ramsey walk, but that was a dumb acquisition then, and still is today (the way Peters did a complete 180 the moment he landed in Baltimore shows he was being miscoached, not that he wasn't performing). Meanwhile, TG, Saffold, Littleton (this one bothers me way more than most of the others), Brockers, Suh, Talib, Fowler etc. all gone. We went from being a complete team to having a crap offensive line, a subpar ground game, a garbage defensive line except for AD, garbage linebackers, a slow secondary that's missing starting pieces and depth (being helmed by a guy on his last legs), we might very well lose Legatron, who knows what we're doing with Cooks. Oh, and we won't see a 1st round pick until the year after next.
Honestly, I feel like a fast one has been pulled on us.
