Talking Snead and Demoff. Huge contracts to Cooks, Gurley and Goff. The latter two before need be. Huge draft capital to acquire Ramsey and he is still not signed. in comparison Eagles get Slay for a mere 3rd and 5th And supposedly already doing an extension.

If Rams have a bad year one or both are gone.

I’ll be the ones making them, these deals are horrid. Snead needs to be reanalyzed. That’s saying a lot since I was his biggest supporter.

One year they were the biggest stars, then injuries wacked two and a bad year by the team and QB made all contracts look bad.

Welcome to Earth people!

The only time these moves look bad is if Snead doesn't have a plan to use the money on something else.

Don't forget the amount of draft capital he's traded way on top of the huge contracts. They deserves all the heat they get.

They got me a little nervous because this is feeling like we're headed in the wrong direction and I can't stand the thought of the Rams falling back into irrelevancy. At the same time im anxious because knowing Sneads history its likely something big is about to happen.

Rams seem shady suddenly imo. Players and FA's are going to start picking up on it. Players won't buy into we not me if the Rams keep showing lack of loyalty by cutting or trading players midway through their contracts. It goes both ways.

They did it in StL too with signing Foles to a new deal before he'd ever taken a snap for them in 2015.

Unless you are Todd's doctor, you can scream injury until your throat bleeds. Fact of the matter it's an opinion. What we DO KNOW as a fact, the Rams signed Cooks to a major contract before even practicing with the team and they gave up a shit ton of picks to acquire a CB that is gonna break the bank when it comes to his new contract. They knew someone with a huge contract was going to have to go as well as many others like Littleton who are extremely talented. So based on what we CAN prove using math, this looks bad on the front office.

You win some you lose some. This isn’t an exact science. If Gurley’s knee holds up we wouldn’t be talking about this. If Cook doesn’t have those concussions, we wouldn’t be talking about this. You can’t predict injuries. Under McVay we haven’t had a losing season. I will see how we perform this year before I start criticizing our FO.

That's going to be the downfall. He blew his load and there's nothing to show for it. No wealth of good young players on rookie contracts. You don't win in this league giving away draft picks like candy. Look at Baltimore, look at New England, look at Green Bay, Seattle, etc. That's how you build sustained success. You find the QB and then you draft around them. When guys in non-critical positions want a payday, you cut them loose and you coach the next guy up.

Now Ramsey will get paid(on top of losing two first rounders), Kupp will get paid and there goes our cap. Goff, Donald, Cooks, Ramsey and Kupp. Now we're gonna need an good pass rusher, we're gonna need a good LB to replace Littleton, we're gonna need a LT to replace Whitworth in a year or two. Interior line depth. Lots of holes here that could have been filled by these first round draft picks we've traded away.

And you look at Arizona now putting together a good team. 49ers are elite. Seattle has a good team that's coached very well. Where does that leave us?

McKay isn’t front office. This is about roster management

Which I’m sure McVay has some say in.
Some. But front office is front office. Remember Snead and demosff have been here a lot longer. That and front office is charged with long term planning. Coaches for the most part are win now.

I feel the articles should have always been written. I was never as all-in on Snead as many here were. All-too-willing to give up extreme draft capital for rental players, handing out contracts years before they have to be addressed, a number of acquisitions not panning out, etc.

Everything came together for a couple of years and we had a charmed existence, because Stan seemed willing to completely open the checkbook in a show of creating a winning culture in LA to drive those season ticket sales (and make no mistake about it, that's what the Goff and Gurley contracts were). Now that we're about to move in to the new stadium and all of us PSL holders are 3 years in and fully committed, they start purging the faces of the franchise and trying to sell us on this idea that a bunch of 3rd and 4th round picks are going to somehow keep us playing at a Super Bowl level, just like he did in St. Louis.

I understand teams that play at a top level can't keep everybody, but look at who we have left? AD, lost-three-steps-last-year Whit, Kupp, Goff? That feels like it's about it. We likely won't let Ramsey walk, but that was a dumb acquisition then, and still is today (the way Peters did a complete 180 the moment he landed in Baltimore shows he was being miscoached, not that he wasn't performing). Meanwhile, TG, Saffold, Littleton (this one bothers me way more than most of the others), Brockers, Suh, Talib, Fowler etc. all gone. We went from being a complete team to having a crap offensive line, a subpar ground game, a garbage defensive line except for AD, garbage linebackers, a slow secondary that's missing starting pieces and depth (being helmed by a guy on his last legs), we might very well lose Legatron, who knows what we're doing with Cooks. Oh, and we won't see a 1st round pick until the year after next.

Honestly, I feel like a fast one has been pulled on us.

The Rams management which has seen the team win 35 games in the last 3 seasons after winning only 45 games in the 10 seasons prior?
