We're dumping everybody short of Kupp, AD and Stafford it seems. What's your price on AD? He's signed for 2 more years at $28.5 and $15 million so not a bad contract hit you just have to resign him if you trade for him.

At least a top half first and a future first for me.

ya agree - top half first.

I don't think he will get traded however... but you never know.

Things happening this year and in recent past I didn't think would happen so I'm guessing anything is possible.

If I'm sending AD to Pittsburgh (which I would if Donald wants out; might as well let him go to his hometown team, right?), I'd ask for their first and the second they got from the Bears. That's basically two first round picks (since Miami's owner's idiocy makes Billy Madison look like Albert Einstein), which I think is a fair and realistic price for an elite player past thirty.

Would it suck to lose AD? Sure. But I think we're undergoing a slight rebuild as it is (with the scuttlebutt of trading Ramsey, Robinson, and trading/cutting Floyd, and I have to imagine that Allen's gone as well, so we'll need a center.), along with free agency.

This is not going to be a competitive team next year, unless we hit on most of the draft picks, re-sign our key players in Gay and Gaines, get our key players fully healthy (A-Jax comes to mind.), and have Lady Luck on our side.

Fortunately, we have the right people to do that. That's what's most important: having the right people to propel us back to greatness.

Not sure he is tradeable this yr. Maybe after June 1st for picks next yr. Pre June trade and they take an additional $15M cap hit on top of his existing cap hit. A post June 1st trade and they shave off 13M of his 23' cap hit.

Ahem. You're forgetting a walk, er, wheel-in closet for me, along with all of the clothes, shoes, and jewelry I could ever want.

3 first round picks at a minimum, if he keeps playing. Retirement risk could tank his value. Would he even accept a trade? Or would he just pack it in?

He is the best defensive player in the league, IMO, and immediately makes even average pass rushers beside him very impactful. He brings pressure up the middle, which is the perfect recipe to disrupt even the best QBs, and is completely transformative for a defensive roster. A fist ballot Hall of Famer. A generational talent. And he is playing just about as well as ever. His trade value really ought to be on par with almost any QB. A few exceptions for the cream of the crop like Mahomes and company. But again, the retirement wrinkle makes things muddy.

Well, by Snead’s calculations a top 10 picks which will end up equaling 5 fifth rounders and 6 6th rounders and a bunch of new shirts that say, “Fuck those first round picks”

If it's Pittsburg they should throw in Cam Heyward along with a 2023 first and a conditional pick in 2024.

AD has already said he's retiring a Ram and that he's retiring after this year. He might play 2 more years if they move him outside where he won't draw constant double teams. Regardless no one is going to trade for a player who has already said he's going to retire soon.

I would require a 1 and a 2 for him. And if a team won't pay that then I'd call his bluff and tell him to play for us or retire.

Because a trade won't come from the Rams for moving AD. He has earned his money even though I don't like how we paid him post-SB. Even with that he was worth it, but if he insists on a move or he's gonna retire I would still have a line in the sand and it would be a 1 and 2.

And if nobody pays it then ok he's retired as a Ram all good.
