If they have the ammo to move up for a quarterback next year the consensus is Arch Manning. He's got all the tools and carries himself like a seasoned vet. But this kid out of Tennessee sure looks enticing. Nico Iamaleava. His scouting report says elite arm strength able to make all NFL throws. 6'6" tall. Lightning quick release that borders on special. Isn't fazed by big games or big moments.

We get all of the 2025 season to evaluate the top quarterbacks. Which one will rise to the top? They need to get it right. If a quarterback is their plan next draft, it will make or break the next 5 to 10 years. Then again they could end up using both picks to add more blue chip talent to the roster.

Will be fun to watch the college QBs next year.

The former TN QB (Iamaleava) has been in the news a ton the past few weeks.

Wanted more NIL-$ and sat-out some Spring practices. Tennessee told him to get lost. Now he's at UCLA.

I believe that's what has been reported. Personally, I no longer watch college athletics but will be looking at the top college QBs next year to see if the Rams could be in play to get one of them.

By them doing this I could see them using one of the 2nds or 3rds from next year to move up in 2nd since they got 2 ones if it’s a prospect they really want

One other note re: Shedur... I hated him as a high pick because he carried a combination of arrogance, lack of ability for that slotting, and a media circus via his father. I think if the league had taken him high it would have fucked his mind because he's lived in a bubble with Deion protecting and coaching him his entire life. But this draft has been a real nice balancing reality for him.

So where does he have value? Well some team will probably get stupid and take him round 2 because groupthink is real. If that team has an elite coach with a sound power base then maybe they can weather the storm of his BS and that of his father. So the Rams are of course an ideal landing spot for him, but I think taking him round 2 is still a bit too high. In my opinion a longer slide will do wonders for him, so say round 3 if he's on the board for our pick I am fine with him being added.

Basically I think he needs his ego broken down a bit to fall in line with a normal NFL locker room. He will need to be accountable to the staff in order to succeed in this league. That said the dude is a QB and teams need them too much for him to be on the board too long. It isn't like he doesn't have value in his accuracy and processing. It's just that to some extent he was in a weird offense and I wonder how much reading he actually did. How long will it take for him to get a bead on an NFL defense at the LOS pre-snap and then diagnose and read in real time. Shit ain't easy. So this is a long winded way of saying I don't hate the kid. I just don't want an entitled piece of shit in our locker room. A kid who has a bruised ego and a drive to show everyone they were wrong, however, is ok by me.
I get the impression from so.e of these report about Sanders that he was telling people how smart and good he was. Instead of showing them. And Ward and Dart showed people and let their play and smarts carry them.

Super tall QB’s….be careful. Lol large bust rate.

Roethlisberger might be the best tallest QB drafted. Did I miss somebody?

I think it just gives them way more options and assets now. Using the 1st(s) or 2-4th round picks. To use as actual draft picks, trades at TDL, or trades at draft next year. Options & assets are extremely valuable.
Options and assets. Love that.

People tend to think think about things as binaries on here: this player or that player; I'm right, you're wrong; Rams want this, not that - when the Rams have proven their decision making is fluid and takes into account changes in data day by day and minute by minute.

They wanted to trade up till it was too expensive, and maybe a player they wanted went before they picked at 26 (it was interesting that Dart was picked in a trade up right before them), then they wanted to trade down.

Feels like this is what good management does.

I don't think more height leads to more bust potential. The bottom line is what's in the kid's head? How is he between the ears? Not just football IQ. But how much does he love the game? What kind of leader is he? How's the maturity? By all account Arch Manning has those intangibles to go with the ability. Don't know about the rest of next year's QB class.

No doubt. But those rumors of teams being pissed off about his demeanor in interviews were probably accurate. Forget what McShay said early on, and he wasn't the only one getting those rumors, but it was about him not really giving a shit what the execs thought. Like a "if you're lucky I'll let you draft me" type deal, and paraphrasing of course.

Wasn't too long ago Deion was talking mad shite about what teams they would or would not accept. That shit stopped real quick once the reality started filtering out to the media too.

I still think 2 more QBs could go before him today. Wonder if the Steelers try to trade up today for him.

Well Steelers have a head coach with the gravitas to handle him and Deion. That dude doesn't mince words. McVay I think could handle him too. But even with the stronger head coaches a little more draft fall would be best for Shedur I think.

This! Look for the Rams to use either the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th pick of 2026 in this draft to maneuver where they want to be. This could be quite the draft day for the Rams.

Well, the thought is the real tall QBs, 6'-6" plus, is that they need a wider throwing base to step into their throws and it's tough to get that kind of room in the pocket... Also tougher to make off platform throws at that size.

I think with QB bigger is better. Helps them see what defenses are doing post-snap, and less chance of them missing a DB floating where they don't expect them.

I dunno. I have a feeling the 6'6" or taller QB's that never panned out were not gonna be any better if they were 6'3".

IMO it’s first too early to say about what they’re going to do next year.
I was all in on Jihaad Campbell falling & he did which shows they’re thinking about next season & The Rams beyond 2025.Which is an EXCELLENT site to see when SEAN MCVAY is EXCITED about 2026

I’m different than Oldschool &said from The Beginning that Mcvay & Whiterspoon had a handshake agreement for him to comeback. His contract says it all.Incentive based & for The Rams to WIN !! That’s TRUST on both sides.

The Rams wanted a big WR & there is on at 45.Mason Taylor makes sense if not,but J. Higgins is a Big WR that The Rams coaching staff has info on.? They might be to FAR away from 45 though.
Shavon Revel might be there to make O’S happy ?

I will say that Falcons pick might seem alright, but they might win the NFC South ? They just added to Edge guys & Walker might be that Fit hybrid Morris likes.Hoecht last year was that type of player for Shula, but Walker is a Freak comparingly . Then they added a B. Young type DE/Olb that is faster ?

Lossing that 101 pick hurts for now,but basically The Rams are getting a 1st rd pick for him.Would The Rams try to trade up or back today ? Who knows, but we should get an idea on there thinking.
I just think they don’t have enough up the middle.I like Reeder as a backup, but not sold on Speights. If you look The Rams weakness it’s cover the middle of the field IMO. Philly moved up SO it shows how they value ILbers.
Same with the DB’s they drafted last season.
Peace
If Penix doesn't progress and/or they have injuries ATL could easily end up a 6-7 win team. And TB is damn good at this point, best roster in the division.

Yeah, all it takes is to have an injury plagued season and even a good team can fall apart. We have seen that up close. Hell, look at the Niners last year. It happens.
