So Bradford was knocked out of the game in the third quarter today. With everything that went wrong for the Rams today, at least their 4th looks safe now. They will need it.

And since the Eagles lost that should help the draft pick they are getting from the Eagles.

Wow! Bradford gets hurt in today's game. Looks like a nice call. Hope the math works out because the Rams need all the picks they can get. Sanchez with a horrible INT inside the 20 yard line.

Sam Bradford has a concussion, no word on shoulder

The Eagles fell to 4-5 in a 20-19 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday that saw Mark Sanchez throw an interception in the end zone as the Eagles tried to retake the lead in the fourth quarter.

Sanchez was in the game because starting quarterback Sam Bradford was knocked out of the game with a left shoulder injury on a sack by Dolphins linebacker Chris McCain. Bradford hit the turf hard and wound up hurting more than his shoulder in the process.

The Eagles announced that x-rays on Bradford’s shoulder were negative, but that he had been evaluated for and diagnosed with a concussion after leaving the game. Coach Chip Kelly had no further medical update immediately after the game.

“No updates on Sam’s condition,” Kelly said, via Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com. “I know he has a concussion. I’ll speak to trainers later.”

With no indication on the severity of Bradford’s shoulder injury, it’s impossible to guess about when he might be back. The concussion is enough to make him questionable at the very least for next Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. With a short turnaround, that’s probably true of the Thanksgiving game in Detroit as well.

I'd have to watch that INT again but it looked like his WR could have helped him out a bit; seem to remember the ball sailing right by him. What was dumb was the play call to begin with, when all they had to do was kick a FG to regain the lead.

I suspect the Bradford era is over in Philly. Kelly is probably going to use that injury to see if Sanchez can lead the team to some wins with full preparation during the week. Hopefully we'll keep that fourth round pick which this team is gonna need given what's coming in FA.

Report: Sam Bradford has AC joint sprain
Posted by Josh Alper on November 16, 2015

Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford left Sunday’s game to the Dolphins with a concussion and left shoulder injury, leaving Mark Sanchez to pilot the offense in a game that wound up as a 20-19 win for Miami.

Eagles coach Chip Kelly wouldn’t offer any update on Bradford’s shoulder injury immediately after the game, but Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports that Bradford suffered a Grade II AC joint sprain.

The report doesn’t include a timeline for how long that might keep Bradford out. It’s not Bradford’s throwing arm, though, and that could mean that the concussion is the bigger issue to overcome for his return to action. The Eagles play twice in the next 11 days with a Thanksgiving trip to Detroit coming after a home date with the Buccaneers.

The injury comes just after Bradford said that the Eagles offense had finally “found what we’re good at” and he was having a good day on Sunday before getting hurt. Sanchez was less effective and threw an interception in the end zone to kill a late scoring chance, something the 4-5 Eagles can’t let happen too often if they want to wind up on top in the NFC East this season.

I'm not at all happy with Foles' play, but still, I do not miss Sam's injuries either. If he was still with us we'd be on pins and needles every time he dropped back to pass.

Nothing personal, but the guy just can't stay healthy.

It does suck that the last two in-season injuries Bradford has suffered, he's been playing at the highest level of the season. Dude was owning defenses when he tore his ACL the first time, and looked next to unstoppable against the Panthers. Shame he keeps coming apart at the seams.

Report: “No way” Sam Bradford plays next two weeks

The speculation about Sam Bradford in Philadelphia has been day to day. But it appears to be a week to week situation.

According to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com, a source said there was “no way” the injured quarterback was playing the next two games.

That means Mark Sanchez would have the reins this week against the Buccaneers and on Thanksgiving against the Lions (pass the pie).

Bradford is in the concussion protocol, but the separated left shoulder is apparently the bigger issue at the moment.

Eagles coach Chip Kelly said today he hadn’t gotten an update on the shoulder injury.

“I have not had that,” Kelly said. “So the concussion is the No. 1 thing. He can’t do anything until he’s cleared from his concussion.

With Bradford unavailable, Thad Lewis will back up Sanchez.

310 passing attempts
14 sacks
225 rushing attemps
549 total snaps or 68 per game
If he plays at least another half, it would be just about impossible to not hit requirement

EDIT- I suppose there are plays voided by penalty, which would explain another 20

Especially if the offensive isn't as productive with Sanchez. That means there won't be as many snaps.
