While I'd like that - I'd think that if that were in the cards, the Rams could have gotten a 6th in the draft this year - which I think they'd have taken. I'm thinking more likely now as a best case scenario is a 7th that could become a 6th depending on roster time for Foles, maybe even a pair of 7ths over several seasons.
NickI'm saying comparing Keenum and Foles as equals is not accurate, at least based on last season.
Basically the same guy....team was playing better, in the "easier" part of the schedule....
Like Seattle in Seattle? Come on man, give credit where credit is due. Foles LOST games. Keenum didn't. Keenum was good enough to win, Foles was not.
10 INTs to 1 with a winning record is all I really need to know. Hand it to Gurley, hand it to Tavon, throw your 61% completion rate (2.6% less than Brady), keep possession (better than Brady), and let the D take care of business. That's a worst case scenario of course, but I would never again let Foles on the field. I would even confidently let Keenum start the season if Goff isn't ready whereas I would dickpuch anyone who suggested Foles start.
Me: Oh, hey, Gurley jersey... you're a Rams fan, hunh?
Guy: Yeah, can't let 'em go.
Me: Looks like Goff may not be ready, who should we start, Keenum or Mannion?
Guy: I think Foles, he knows the system and if he...
Me: Windmill windup... dickpunch!
(In fairness, I would also vagina punch, no discrimination here)
You are assuming that if cut both would be re-signed by another team. I seriously doubt we could trade either player. I am assuming that if we released them BOTH, they'd be sitting on the couch, waiting on a call if Goff or Mannion got hurt.
much rather have Goff, Case, and Mannion, even if Mannion is on practice squadI'm not saying Keenum is a starter. I'm saying comparing Keenum and Foles as equals is not accurate, at least based on last season. I have no issue with Mannion beating them out but I would have a huge issue with the Rams going into the season with Goff, Manion, Foles. That's a trainwreck waiting to happen.
Nick Goles is a cool straight up guy . He is a team player, will just compete. He is a true believer of the lord,& in himself. You can't ask any more from him from a competitive & professional stand point. He is a good team mate & will be good with all the QB's. Does he trade it depends ?
The Rams had Austin Davies last year who got cut. I think it will be pretty much the same as last season going down to the of preseason. WR's get more reps, & how good is Mannion ??
I went back and watched a lot of his post-game pressers.I'd like to hear from Foles himself on what went wrong last season.
