Yeah, Jones is good. But everyone else that plays the ILB position are JAG's. We could use an upgrade there. Or play more nickel to avoid using them too much.I see a 4th weakness - Rozeboom
He is too slow and misses tackles too often for my taste

What you see the Rams coaching staff sees the same thing-- I thinkPersonally, I would not give up on Hoecht just yet. He played with contain much better vs the Niners and can make plays including generating pressure, I could easily see him being a 12+ sack guy if used correctly
But he still shouldn't be covering anyone on routes - he is so slowWhat you see the Rams coaching staff sees the same thing-- I think
Hoecht will improve every week.
YeppersTwo things I want to see. Better run blocking on offense and more pressure on the quarterback on defense.
Without fail, our first two draft picks next year need to be OT and EDGE.
Right and we have to double dip at both positions. We obviously have zero depth at both positionsFree Agency comes before the draft ...
Maybe. Young seems to be a keeper and we have no idea about Mathis yet. People seemed to be encouraged by him in the summer.Right and we have to double dip at both positions. We obviously have zero depth at both positions
It's not that he can't catch the football, it's that he is trying to make a play before catching the football. Here's another weak link, Kyren Williams can't catch the damn ball consistently! Thought he was an ex-wide receiver, or maybe that's WHY he's an ex-WR.
Without fail, our first two draft picks next year need to be OT and EDGE. Van Jefferson has talent but just seems to be a non-aggressive football player. It has a bad look. I like Kendrick. He will improve. Hoecht is a good guy to have on the roster but agree he just doesn’t fit in the D right now.
I saw that too. He should be stranding in front of a jugs machine all week. 2 huge drops the last 2 games. Can’t happen. It's not that he can't catch the football, it's that he is trying to make a play before catching the football.
On his drop in the red zone, my wife and I clearly saw him look away from the ball right after it hit his hands.
He needs to slow down and make sure he takes it in before then running with it.
Exactly--they have the "put our best 5 on the OL," why not do the same with the rest of our players? (I feel like there's some missing info with JJ3 though--I thought he'd be an obvious starter when we resigned him.)In fact - I would put in JJ3 in as a Mark Barron type hybrid safety/lb on a lot of plays
