I don't think Gurley a has lost any significant ability to be more than effective. He simply didn't have enough holes. Give him some blocking and he will be very effective.

It’s obvious Gurley lost some of the burst that he had in 2017 and most of 2018. However....fix the interior OL run blocking (adding at least one stud OG/C) and Gurley and Henderson will be a very good thunder and lightning combo.

I'm not personally convinced that Gurley has lost any burst, except as a result of a restricted training program, restricted game usage, and deficient offensive line. All this, and not least McVay's feckless under use of him until too late, affected his attitude.

There's a good article by Rich Hammond in the Athletic about the Rams needing to really use Gurley or trade him. I support the former. I don't think you can expect a world class running back like Gurley to reach his peak performance with one hand tied behind his back in training, practice and games. Turn him loose.

yeah - the funny thing is The Rams can’t trade him because of his huge contract. I wonder how he’d do passing a physical??

I’ts going to be a long off season. I talked to a local Rams fan today. He agree’s, so I’m not that far off my rocker .....

I like the Lather . Trade Todd Gurley!! Time is right !!!
Doesn’t fit Mcvay ?? Use him or lose him .

actually the way The Rams used Gurley this season was to show case him & keep him healthy & strong at the end of the season .

These my thoughts, but will see if FO thinks the same ?? Snead is already in GM mode with not playing his cards. The Rams need draft picks to help building solid depth.

The 53 needs to get better !!

Pass the phys

Oh yeah, the Gurley takes are hot & popular...no doubt you get agreements.

Go with it!

I think he plays for the Rams next year and his season is bigger than this one.

IMO

It's really hard to judge where Gurley is when he's tackled 4 yards behind the LOS routinely.

If we can rebuild the Oline in the offseason. Which, even with our cap is very doable, then we may see Gurley be a force again. Hard to believe he returns to his 2017 form though.

I like your opinion & at the least The Rams better hope that as well. Do I have doubts Gurley can do it !! No doubt, but also doubt he can..
My point is if The Rams ever want to get rid of Gurley it is now. Like I said about SJ39 way back & was So strong for a trade my tag was TradeSJ39.

His contract is my main reason & also can’t practice like he would like. Todd Gurley is a stud, so was SJ39 who I thiught could have got The Rams (Dallas 2 1st rd picks) good value for his return.
I was for drafting Jake Cutler & signing SJ39. Letting Bulger finish out his final season. You still have control with the franchise tag. Plus QB value for a trade..

Same back when Matt Ryan was drafted. Why not take Ryan & make A.Blank pay !!
— Chris Long ??? There are some QB’s you can’t pass on !!!

Do you trade Goff ??? My point is Gurleys contract is not worth having on the roster.
Ram fans can complain about the Rams Young Offensive line. I think The Rams need to adjust there core of the franchise.

I also think depth & special teams is a key issue to me !!! I go to a couple training camps just to get a feel for The Rams in general. What I come out of it is my own view.

Talib is great
Brockers has been HUGE !!! Especially with Aaron Donald holding out. Donald is solid & works the guards hard in one one one’s
—Gurley has been awesome, but my feeling is he needs to go as well as Brockers.Talib is gone.
I’ll add Weddle needs to go & Clay has to stay !! It’s also my belief it will work it’s self out that way, also because of the Rams Culture Mcvay has created with veteran FA’s
— That can’t stop, there needs to be that Eb flow

Agree! I am certainly not an NFL General Manager but it does seem to me that trading Todd Gurley with his Salary and Health Issues/Concerns would be pretty difficult.
