-Allen continues to be TE1

-Primarily 11 personnel

-Corum and Whittington make cameos

-Defense is very versatile in both packages and personnel

-Witherspoon trending downward

-Speights getting a full(ish) workload

-Brown increases in playing time

I am saying it again - Parkinson was a waste of a FA pick-up.

We could have used that money to get a better LB.

I doubt that they would've used that money on a LB. Probably a WR, I think there were looking during free agency.

The TE group does look lost despite the resources put into it. I had hopes for Allen, hopefully Higbee returns to form after his gnarly injury. :hope:

Good to see they benched shitty Witherspoon and even better to see Speights so high.

Rozeboom is playing well. Had an Int. and almost had another. Miami did little on Offense. Shula had them ready to defend the screens. Offensive Line and Stafford were terrible.

If he wouldn't miss some critical tackles. That one at the 18 yard line killed us. Changed the entire tempo of the second half with that play,.

Speights was lost a good chunk of the night. Not picking up receivers running right in front of him. But, he made some plays as well.
Allen contributed as a receiver and his blocking has improved but he is still not a great blocker.
Witherspoon has played well overall, he should be on the field more.
Brown was excellent and at times dominant the last two weeks.

Speights was not good last night.
Witherspoon is solid.
Durant is hit and miss and generally not a great tackler....I think Spoon and Durant are basically interchangeable at this point.

I understand why they signed him.
He should be a weapon in the red zone but he doesn't seem to have much of a feel for the passing game.
So, basically an way overpaid blocking TE.
Will be interesting to see if they hold on to him after this year (assuming cutting him is even an option depending on his contract).
Allen is ok as receiver but so far hasn't shown a second gear to get down field or break tackles. All the underneath stuff may just be McVay's offense.

Completely disagree. Saw Speight in tackles all night. Witherspoon had the blown coverage on that wide open 3rd and long for the first td drive. Guessing that's what led to his reduced snaps.

yeah it's clear to me why he hasn't played - good run stopper but zero feel for pass coverage.

His form wasn't exactly great last year either. He's been too beat up over his career. That said, we have essentially nothing at TE right now. Huge bust signing of Parkinson.

1. We are reliant on too many JAGs in the pass game.

2. Our OL sucks ballsack.

3. Our secondary is infuriatingly inconsistent behind an elite pass rush.

Higbee is old and probably slow. They need an infusion of talented youth on offense. Like they've done on defense.

I'm not positing Higbee as some game changer at the TE position, but a healthy Higbee at any point in his career is much better than what we currently have. It's doubtful but if he makes it back from this injury that would go a long way to improving the position.

Yes they'll probably have to upgrade this offseason though.

Without a doubt.

Stafford, Kupp, Nacua makes for a good pass game but the solid starter Higs provides is missed. And we haven't had the top two guys for a chunk of this season.

For the rest of the way McVay needs to unfuck this OL. The pieces are there for the strongest OL we have had in years. Get that unit firing and everything will look a lot different.
