Part of me in 2015 wished the Rams resigned SJ39 from the Falcons to be a FB and have Gurley as RB.

What a one-two combo

Who does more in with the 2018 offense?

Gurley

Or prime Jackson
Now that’s a question. Shit I might with with SJ, he produced with a shitty ass roster ( Quinn Obanaka the wrestling beast!) and people criticize him for dancing around when people are in his lap with jokes like that blocking for him.

So who is the next Jackson or Gurley?

As far as I'd compare to S-Jax? As far as size goes, Rocket Sanders fits the bill (and I wouldn't mind a shot at him late). As far as being punishing, I'd have to say Judkins is the best in the class, but he's not S-Jax. Hampton might be close, but he's not the same runner either.

As far as Gurley? Kaleb Johnson has the exact same style, but he's a lot slower than Gurley was.

Omarion Hampton!!

I really like him but he’s not Gurley or SJ. This day and age those backs are extremely rare.

But I have a feeling Omarion would be awesome in this Offense.

Quinshon Judkins the closest but SJ was one of a kind. Hard to find big ass backs like him that can do it all.

Hampton would be awesome, but there's a lot of very good running backs in this class, even late. Judkins, Henderson, Kaleb Johnson, Dylan Sampson, Gordon, Tuten, LeQuint Allen, Brashard Smith, J.R. Giddens, Rocket Sanders, etc.

Honestly, it wouldn't even surprise me if we took a shot on Marcus Yarns (Delaware) late. He fits the size prototype of K-Will, but he's much faster and his hands are better; he was tested at receiver during the Combine.

Lots of very good running backs in this class, and it would be a shame if we didn't take advantage of it, much like tight end and receiver.

Not denying any of them but watching all the RB’s I see Jeanty as 1 obviously but feel if he is in a situation like SJ39 he won’t be able to do his magic.

My 2 Hampton I feel is far an above the rest of the class of RB’s, and depending the situation Jeanty might struggle if he doesn’t have a lien or decent offense.

I actually agree with you on Hampton being the number one back in this class (although Jeanty is probably closer to 1b than 2a), but Jackson and Gurley were rare talents with what they were given to work with. Even Saquon Barkley needed a better team to improve his situation. Even Hampton would struggle on a team with a poor offensive line.

The biggest problem back then, is they did not have McVay. Or anyone close to as good.
SJ was a freak. I got to see him up close in Oakland, Bradford's first road start. At that time SJ was the whole team. I was 7 rows back on the Rams sideline right behind this trainers table that was Jackson's personal table it seemed. He was our whole team and treated like it. They were working on that guy, massaging his legs after every series.
You could tell the Raiders did not exactly like tackling him. I remember a perfectly executed sweep right in front of us.
The women around us sure liked Danny Amendola .
I can remember paying attention to the Rams equipment manager, who,s nephew got me a autographed Rams football. (that POS Spags fired him after the season. Up until that point the only men who ever put a gold Ram horn decal on our helmets was a Hewitt)
SJ seemed like a great guy. He came right up to the small group of Rams fans after the loss and gave the guy next to me his game gloves.
Watching these SJ vids. McVay could have done some good things with Bulger. He could play. And did not deserve the beatings he took.
I was at that game too!
I took my brother (raider fan). Bradford made a couple of throws that gave me hope.
…but it never came to pass.

I have to say SJ. Gurley was largely toast near the end of that season. Gurley may have had more yards from scrimmage but SJ would have brutalized that NE defense.
