I am not getting too excited quite yet. I wonder what the Whiner fans felt like last year after week 1?

hmmm. we humans are so different. Like snowflakes, no two are alike.

Example....some wonder what a 49er fan felt like. However....In my lifetime I have never givin a flying fuck what a 49er fan felt like.

Just snowflakes that pass in the night.

Pump the Breaks!? "HELL NO!!" Step on the Gas! Full speed ahead! Remember the Term "Fans" is short for "FANATIC's"!!
I say, throw all our opponents into a Large Brown paper Bag, and beat it with a Baseball bat!
Play Lights-out, no quarter given for 60 minutes every game!

You know I got nothing but respect for you but wins assigned to a QB is the well how can I say this and not be offensive it's really the most ignorant thing in sports. We have a 46 man roster on game days but some how it's all about the QB for wins. He could play just like he did today and lose the next 4 games and it doesn't mean a damned thing about him.
If he plays as well as yesterday and we LOSE....Well, we have some problems....but QB aint one...feel me? 6 more games like today, we can sit down and discuss who to draft for the o line....and maybe one of these shiny new RB's(y):yess:

Screw caution. We haven't had a reason to be excited in so long you'll have to excuse me for breaking out the damn kool-aid bong.

The offense has a few good weapons that it looks like we can count on week to week now. Watkins looked pretty good for a guy who was added late, and should get better and better in this offense as he settles in. Woods & Kupp are two excellent possession options who are going to get their catches and move the chains and are capable of more at times. Everett made a clutch play that 90% of our pass catchers would have dropped last year, to extend that drive and push the score up early. All four of those guys should improve as we go, and they also have a fifth possibility in doing that in Higbee if he starts figuring things out.

This team has the talent and coaching to compete in all three phases, which elevates them beyond the bottom feeders. Question is how good will they be, plain and simple. Will they be a mediocre team, or a playoff team.

I don't know we should "pump the brakes" as much as we understand what has happened. Yesterday's win was great......but....we've seen that before. I want to see different. I want this team to take each opponent one by one, and go in w/o being too high, or believing the latest press release. I want a string of victories. Not just one here and one there. Keep the slow burn going until you erupt on the next opponent. I still remember '99. It was great. But almost as quickly as it was there....was a memory. And I want new ones. I don't want the accolades of the press, who barely understand there are points on the end of the ball. I want a whole team working together for one goal. to win the next game.

Now......on to Washington...... Go get them guys!

Pump the brakes? Only pansies pump the brakes. Winners bring it in sideways with their hair on fire!!!!!! Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way! The train is building a head of steam. You best hop on or get your ass off the tracks!!!!!!:boxing::sneaky::lifting::cheers:

Yeah... I don't think they will alter the aggressiveness or schemes (i.e. go all conservative on us).

The only question is... can they continue to execute at the high level they did yesterday.

I think they can actually execute better than they did yesterday. They were very good, but not without some glitches and mistakes. With McVay's mentality, you know they will go back and look at those and try to clean that up.

What?!? Voice of reason?!?!?

Seriously agree wholeheartedly....
Give me 4 games...and I'll know a whole lot more....

6 more games....14 total starts for Goff...will tell the tale. If Goff's record...overall is 7 & 7....we're on our way...that's 6 more wins...in a row...yeah, I'm tough like that.
Bastid!!!

A win's a win and we'll take as many as we can get. Tremendous first game to start our new culture and McVay's era of coaching, however it was indeed against a less than stellar Colts team, so I will be reserve my excitement and keep my poms poms down till we play & defeat a more challenging team on the road.

Another dominant win against the Redskins would be awesome tho!!!

I'm one of the realists .. I freaking loved last night it's the happiest the rams have made me in a long time
No doubt we have improved
I fully believe we win at least 8 games
We punched the Colts in the mouth last night as good teams should do to bad team (i remember the saints game )
But there's the rub Colts are bad

I wanna see this team beat the skins then the niners and then comes the real tests Seattle and boys those are the games were we become a real deal but u til then I said it in the game day thread ....i legit want mcvays babies
Dang, everyone seems to forget every year when talking about the dreaded Hawks and Card vs the Rams.....they forget we could beat them 50% of the time most years....It's the suck-ass non NFC West teams that would kick our asses.
