I wondered if Sherman would be a fit for the Rams defense.

Terrell Davis thinks he’d be a good free agent signing. He mentioned that last year the Rams ran zone coverage about 80% of the time.

I know the big need seems to be a slot corner. That may or may not be able to be filled with Burgess. But adding a smart DB who has been to a Super Bowl (and gets his grabbing ignored regularly) could be an interesting addition.
They play a lot of dime coverage. He’s older, shouldn’t be getting paid too much.

Dont think he's quick enough to cover the slot at this point in his career. And cant really ever remember him lining up at nickel anyways so where is he going to play? We got D Will and Ramsey outside. I still think he's a slightly above average player and very smart. But we need a quick nickel CB so I don't think he's worth it. I'd sign a different corner or put that money towards DL.

I'd pass on Sherman, he gets protected by the scheme. I'd rather roll with Williams and Ramsey on the outside with Deayon and Long competing for Hill's spot (Burgess has experience at nickle too)...

Does anyone else remember when Kenny Britt used to work over Sherman when he was in SEA?

I think he looked good last year.

I thought so too. The last two years he surpassed my expectations from what I seen. But he's still lining up outside like he always has right? I cant ever remember him playing nickel. And even if he could I dont think he's quick enough at this point in his career. Having a quick slot WR like Kupp on a choice route where he has a two way go seems like a nightmare for Sherm. Playing on the outside he can use his intelligence more and shade inside/outside leverage and gain advantages that way. I dont see it happening because he'll likely get a decent contract.

This is a move you make in Madden. There is literally no need for Sherman. We have two starting CBs, and you don't pay the money it would require to a cb3 or cb4 that doesn't play nickel. That money is better spent in other places.

Playing for two division rivals has made my dislike of Sheman intense.

Would he be a fit? If we lose Dwill possibly. Could he move to FS? I don’t know if we need him there.

He would have to be our 5th or 6th db, in case of emergency and take a vet minimum.

Kupp would send Sherman into early retirement if he had to man up/press Kupp out of the slot.

He's been done for a couple seasons now. If you want a guy who requires a safety over the top you can find them in every draft.
