As much as I'm impressed with the Lions offense, looking at their schedule there not many, if any impressive win over a quality opponent. The opener with the Chiefs saw so many dropped passes the Lions could have lost that one by two TD's. The other winning teams are the Bucs, Saints and Packers. If the Bucs and Saints were in another division they'd have a losing record. They caught the Packers early when they were still trying to feel their way with Jordan Love. Next time the Packers won easily. Are the Lions that good? Or are they Paper Lions?

Rams have six wins against winning teams. They played the top seeds in each conference pretty tough in losses. I get that the Lions are favored at home. And should be. But I see why there are so many skeptics not liking them in this game.

I did not even know that show was still on the air ?
"better than the Rams" ?
I like the Lions because of Goff. But in my own very experienced football mind, the Rams are the better team and getting better all the time.
Better quarterback, better coach, better running back, better receivers, we have AD and The Conductor........................
They might have a better kicker.
We will win. The Rams will not allow themselves to lose this game.
The Lions will go all out, go for it on 4th down at the drop of a hat to no avail.
We win and just might win it all.
Those two do not actually watch the Rams.

I expect an entertaining game.

Rams have the better QB… but Detroit has more explosive weapons.

Big variable… Kupp has had time to rest… how well is he feeling?

If he’s at his best of this season… Rams are going to score a ton of points.

The Rams still haven’t played a truly clean game.. they do that? They win.

Well...let's not act like Detroit can pressure Stafford...they can. The key here is Stafford is probably the best in the NFL at handling blitz pressure and we can thank Detroit for that for all the years they had Stafford behind bad OLines.
I didn't say anything about that. But I do trust our Oline, our running game ans Matthew Stafford's ability to beat the blitz/quick release.

They both say the Lions are going to win, but neither of them says we have no chance.

Besides, plenty of previews online have got the Rams winning.
At 5:43 he definitively states the Lions will win the game.

Yeah this is what I'm most curious about. I am really hoping the extra rest he got this past couple weeks let him heal back up because he was clearly hurting the last couple of games that he played in. He came back from injury against Philly and strung together a couple of games over 100 yards and then got dinged up again and seemed to be healthy again for a couple games against Baltimore and Washington and had a couple of 100 yard games and then got dinged up again against Saints.

A healthy Kupp and Puka will give us a much better chance to make a deep playoff push.

Your not adding everything up well on The Rest side of it.Take your pick, but Stafford’s thumb in the Cold (Giants) look banged up with his over throws.

Then Ernest Jones was playing slow with his legs ? Whatever his injury has been ?

Higbee as well. Getting Alaric back at LT as well.

I undertood what you said. I'm simply presenting the other side and expanding on other things. As you pointed out AD and Kobie...that Lions DLine ain't swiss cheese. Start with Hutchinson on the Lions DLine.

I'm pretty confident the Rams will win the game...but the Lions ain't slouches. It's not like the Rams are just going to bowl them over. Frankly in my mind it's about which teams secondary is up to the challenge...and we can't hide from the fact that the Rams secondary (just like the Lions secondary ), has been vulnerable to the deep pass.

I believe the Rams win...but I also think it's gonna be tough.

The one thing the Rams can't do in this game is the thing they've figured out how to do too often, give up the big play. Against Detroit, that would be costly, maybe too costly. So maybe we see a little different D strategy, maybe it will drive us crazy bending too much in order not to break. If KW goes beast on their ass, it will be a blowout if we don't give up the big plays. Sounds cocky right? But I believe it. LaPorta being out will help our D a lot if he is indeed out. They may rub some magic sauce on that kid. Let's not talk about the special teams element of this game. I'm pretending that's going to be just fine.

Hopefully McVay has something special for the Lions dialed up. His experience against Belichick might have taught him that, and we have a lot of playoff and even SB winning experience. I think he said they were keeping it vanilla v the Niners for that reason. Hopefully we present some surprises for Goff as well.

My concern is our special teams play. That could be the difference, and not in a good way.

Fun fact: The #6 seed has beat the #3 seed 6 straight years in the NFC. It's happened 3 times in the AFC for a 75% success rate. That and $10 will get you a Starbucks coffee but it is interesting.

I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. Score 31 points and the Rams win. If Stafford, Nacua, Kupp and Williams bring it. They score 31 points. Turnovers and ST play being the obstacles in getting to 31.

Home field advantage in domed stadiums is real. Also they have a clear advantage on STs, i.e. field goals. IMO that is where the 3 point advantage comes from.

I think the Lions are playing at their ceiling right now. The Rams are still gelling, getting better. I like our chances against Detroit. However I also think we are getting Goff’s best game. No doubt. I pray we win and then run the table to the SB and win.

I’ve got two hundred on our SB win at 7k to one odds. You never know… probably better odds than the lotto.

Nah, I can understand people picking the Lions, they have the better record and home field advantage. Rams need to take the Lions first shots plus stick with the run and then that great homefield advantage turns into doubt.
Yeah but if they played our schedule would 5hey have that record I sincerely doubt it.
