I like Bradford as our starter and I like Shaun as our back up. Not sure about you guys but I feel comfortable about that position. Wouldn't matter if he said he didn't like Bradford, as long as they help win us games.

Many men have been in the game for just as long or even longer, and can't play...if he's so good, why hasn't he ever started? I'd rather have a back-up, at any position that one day hopes to start. And works hard to achieve this goal...Having a career back-up is hardly comforting, nor an ideal situation.....Because I'd prefer to see a hungry & eager Gilbert win the #2 makes me the bad guy, fine. I said the same about Clemens for 2 years. NOW all of a sudden, they get rid of him...Wonder why? Hell, if they wanted a backup, go for someone that really wants to win too...and has proven it.

Not trying to sound snarky here, but Shawn Hill has started 26 games in the NFL. So he didn't beat out Matt Stafford in Detroit.

Hill, an eight-year NFL veteran who spent the past three years as the backup to Matthew Stafford in Detroit, is 13-13 in 26 career starts under center, compiling a passer rating of 85.9. Hill’s last starting assignment came in 2010, when he started 10 games for the Lions and completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,686 yards, 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

In other words he's Steve deBerg, keeps both teams in the game:ROFLMAO:
Actually I think he's fine and it'll be up to Shotty to call to his strengths if we need to use him.

So his last bit of playing time was 2010....OK

I'd rather get Gilbert up to speed and have him ready if anything would happen. That's just me...

Very well said.

Not even if I wear THIS?

and if wear a blue and gold one to the Tampa Game, and nothing else but a smile and some sun block, for the whole game... I will buy you all the beer you can drink during the game

I am just glad you arent sitting in the same row as me !!

Rams QB Shaun Hill spoke about learning the Rams offense, playing against the Saints on Friday, the amount of talent/depth the Rams have at the skill positions, and his role in the locker room after practice on Tuesday. He also says Sam Bradford is "an unbelievable talent" and a nice guy. (3:20)

Watch Shaun Hill Interview

Well, in answer to the "What's he supposed to say?"

It's definitely not "He's an unbelievable talent" if he's not feeling it. He seemed pretty sincere in the interview.

"Real" Ram fans can obviously see it.

Heh.

Trust me. If I were going to wear one to the Tampa game, it would be in Tampa's colors not ours. And yuh cheap bastard - that would be worth MUCH more than a few beers. You'd at least have to buy me dinner and sit next to me.

I don't know, those are pretty good backup numbers and it's not like he's 40. I'd prefer if the rookie 6th round QB who hasn't played under center since middle school not play as much, at least for now.

so, you figure taking snaps is, like, a really difficult task to master?

That's not my point at all. I simply don't like calling a player that has been in the NFL for over a decade, has made teams and started when necessary, that he sucks. It's flat out insulting.

And again, it's what he has off the field; knowledge, somewhat coaching, etc. of the game.
