As soon as I find out ticket prices im booking our flight. Should get to STL around 12:30pm Saturday. If anyone is interested in meeting up for lunch or something, let me know.
I'll email Kevin on Sunday, so hopefully we'll get some insight into pricing next week.

Draft of my pending reply to Kevin...
(Forum members, please feel free to provide suggested content or edits. I will send out on May 31st)

Dear Kevin,

I'm following up on our earlier discussion regarding the members of RamsOnDemand fan forum seeking an appropriate way to honor Rich's life during the Seattle game opener.

This is turning into quite an event, as forum members are flying in from around the world. We've had forum members open their homes to travelers, and even other locals offer to collect visitors from the airport and chauffeur them around the city.

With a view toward a special group ticket, we've so far identified the following attendee totals:

Attendees needing tickets: 57 - 67 (15 - 25 of these are from Rich's family)
Attendees who already own game tickets: 8
Attendees needing tickets (tentative): Approximately 25
Total Possible Attendees: 90 - 100 (including tenative)

With respect to finding a way to recognize Rich’s family over the weekend, I believe the consensus is that the most appropriate is to honor Rich's Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk. Perhaps there is a way to give the fans at the game an opportunity to support his Night Walk, and perhaps this can include a scoreboard announcement. We're certainly open to suggestions, and look our confident that your office staff can contribute thoughtful ideas.

We'll continue to refine and firm-up the attendance numbers. But in the mean time, we'd welcome further direction from you and your office staff regarding logistics, structure, deadlines and budget for the event.

I know several from the group have asked if the organization can assist us in finding a tail-gating spot, either outdoors or indoors, that we may use before the game. So, we also appreciate any recommendations that your staff can make.

Again, thank you for your empathy and kind consideration. I know everyone at the RamsOnDemand forum is incredibly appreciative of the organization and it's response to our request.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

I love the message of your draft. I edited a few minor grammatical things in it, if you don't mind. You know, making it perfect before you send it off, right? :)

I am a FIRM 1 (need ticket).

Too good of a party to miss!

Woot!

PS: I'll likely travel in on Thursday (visit family) and available for some Saturday stuff and most certainly Sunday tailgating.
My dad and boys and I all arrive Friday afternoon. Let me know if you want to get together for a drink or something. We'll just be touristing most likely.

I know I've said this before, but it bares repeating!
I hope every one going to the game takes pictures, and posts them here at ROD, for those of us that can't make the event in person!! I know we will all be their in our hearts and minds! Watch the Rams " Win one for the 'Thordadd!' " ( instead of winning one for the Gipper!)

I have a buddy that runs an Internet company that allows registered event guest to text their photos to a unique phone number, and all of the photos will be available on our own "event" website. I can ask him to setup a customer event telephone number for us.

He's currently marketing it to weddings, but works great for any event where everyone in attendance wants to share their photos, and no one wants to download and learn yet another stupid app.

We will also create an event listing for this in our "ROD Events" forum. Photos can and will be posted there.

It would be cool if we had some type of RamsOnDemand.com chatski like a foam stick, finger, or flag thingy of some sort we could wave around.

Just a thought... I have no inside track on any such thing.

Something like these, for example.

oh, great. perhaps that's more appropriate.
Not sure how the other works but I'm guessing that having both wouldn't be a bad thing - especially if the other could point back to ROD.

for the tech challenged, all they have to do is text their photo to a presetup number. not sure if we can then redirect the phots here, but they'll only be a link away.

Anyone STL natives know much about the Queens Hotel and Casino? Seems to be relatively close enough to the dome to walk.

I don't know if this was answered or not. The Casino Queen is across the river. You can hop on the metro train to get back and forth but go early on game day as it will be crowded.

Check the Lumière Place Casino and Hotels as they are across the street from the dome. OR, stay at a place like the Drury, right next to the dome, and walk to the casino?

>>>>>>Don't forget, check www.southwest.com for pricing as they tend to be the cheapest and they are NOT on the sites that search all airlines.<<<<<<

ALSO: If you are in need, I have over 3,000 southwest points I will offer up if I can. I'll have to call to check how that would work. PM me.

Some of the things to do in the area include: casinos, a good zoo (go early for free street parking and to avoid the heat), Missouri Botanical Gardens if you are into plants, Six Flags amusement park and waterpark (Mr. Freeze and Batman!), Forest Park (where zoo is) has lakes, boat rentals, museums and such (that weekend is LouFest music in the park with The Avett Brothers, Hozier, Ludacris, Young the Giant, Brandon Flowers, Billy Idol, Nate Ruess, Umphrey's McGee, JJ Grey & Mofro, Pokey Lafarge, Blue October, Misterwives and many more), the River Front restaurants and bars, the arch museum and observation deck at the top (not for claustrophobics or Acrophobics) , The Hill area for italian food, Anheuser Busch Brewery tours (free!), Soulard which is STL's oldest neighborhood and a good place for drinks, food, and music, City Museum and aquarium (amongst many notable museums), Riverboat Sight Seeing and dinner cruises on the Mississippi, Grant's farm (Ulysses S Grant's farm with game preserve, train rides, Grant’s cabin, and the famed Clydesdale stallion barn.), 22nd Annual Saint Louis Art Fair, Schlafly Bottleworks (good eats, local brewery, free tour, local affordable art show that weekend).

The Drury is the best spot by far. Its currently @ $165.00 a night. Lumiere Place is listed @ $169.00. Its pretty nice, but was only a year old when I went there.

Holiday Inn on 9th Street behind the Convention Center is brand new, and is $144.00. I stayed there once, but back when it was a Ramada and its only a 5 minute walk around the block to the Dome entrances. Theres an Embassy Suites tucked in around the corner from the Drury @ $149.00. If you are on a budget the Best Value Inn is $100.00 and is closest to where we will probably be tailgating. Prices are from Hotels.com...might be better deals out there? But if you wanna be walking distance to fan zone, tailgating, Leclades Landing, and Casino, those are the ones to look into.

I once stayed out in near Earth City at Harrah's because we got our rooms comped, but without a car i dont recommend. Getting back after the game sucked since we took the Metro Link during a Cardinals world series parade which we were not expecting, then had to transfer twice, then got hung up at the airport waiting for a Harrahs hospitality van for the last leg of the trip. It was kind of a disaster, but sounded good on paper when I drew up "my plan".... lol your experience may vary. Harrah's might be closed by now anyway, but Hollywood Casino was right next to it.

The Casinos out west are all open. The west shouted down any metro extension so there's no Metro out here. You don't want to stay out west if your goal is Rams and fun, we all have to drive in.

If I was flying in, I would be in that basement, that's an extra $150+ a day that I can spend elsewhere lol.
