Its too soon for Stafford to think about whether or not he'll retire. I doubt we'll see any kind of commitment from him for a few weeks one way or the other. I don't know what's in his head but I have feeling he's not done. Maybe if they won a Superbowl he might have retired. But I feel like he still has plenty left in the tank and unfinished business.

Maybe he pulls a AD and asks, "what are you going to do to improve this roster" before committing to another year.

After the first niners game, when Mac jones looked like tom Brady, McVay said he'd look into the secondary. What did they do? Bring in McReary who is at best a nickel corner. That was their solution? Pathetic.

We deserved to lose last night. Our two weaknesses bit us in the butt. Snead and McVay were aware of these issues and the changes (bringing in mcreary and firing the ST coach) weren't enough.

And he immediately got injured and didn't play much when he returned. In spot duty he looked pretty decent but yeah, too little too late.

I like a man of few words but ...

McCreary ... What CB do you wish they had added at the trade deadline. There are lists of the CBs traded.

Did the Rams deserve to win two weeks ago in Carolina? Last week in Chicago?

I think those two victories were every bit as closely contested as yesterday's loss.

Maybe you disagree.

Do you remember the 2021 Divisional Round, NFC Championship and Super Bowl?
All down-to-the-wire Rams' victories.

After a close loss there's a lot of coulda, shoulda, woulda's. Bottom line is we had a defense that was not good enough to be in the Superbowl. They have cap money. Two first round picks. If they want to get back to the Superbowl they gotta fix that defense.
Agreed. Add another WR/return weapon via draft (R1/R2) and bolster the OL (R2 LT/swing OT and FA upgrade at OC?).
Then pour our heart and sole into that defense. I mean load that bitch up (FA CB1, R1/R2 CB2, R3 ILB, FA Edge) to take advantage of one more year of Stafford.

Am I the only one that beyond all the strengths and weaknesses, the officiating cost us the SB?

I can't believe how many talking heads on my X channel are questioning all the bad calls and blatant missed calls.

Oh well. Same story different day.

I really thought this was our season.
I’m sure you’re not the only one, but that was 1 of 10 bad plays. While it didn’t help, it didn’t cost us the superbowl on its own.

Great season! I think this team overall performed well. There is lots of room to build as they need to bring in a LOT of help in the backend of the defense. Need at least two corners who can run and a speedy safety along with a linebacker with more range. Rams also need to look for depth at Center, IOL and tackle. I wish they could have gotten a decent corner at the trading deadline but not many available at the cost they could afford apparently. Seattle’ acquisition of Shaheed at the trade deadline likely won the division for them. Rams have a good core to build upon and draft and cap capital to retool this team and make another run at it in 2026.
