Decent, but underachieving season. Every game we lost this year was one we could have won. Our horrible secondary and terrible special teams, along with some head-scratching playcalling and decisions from McVay from time to time cost us, first homefield advantage and now a change to win the Super Bowl. While I think Seattle is a great team and definitely has a better defense than we do, our offense more than made up for it. But the D regressed badly in the 2nd half of the season as our secondary became more and more exploited. And on ST's, while McVay made the right move to fire Blackburn, it took too long and he's never dedicated personnel to that unit and it cost us all season long.
McVay is a good coach, but he needs to take a long, hard, introspective look in the mirror because the failure to win a championship falls mostly on his shoulders.
