I think this will come back to bit y'all. Not trolling. One of my beefs with Garrett is he doesn't play the starters enough, and we ALWAYS start off rusty. Will your startes play at all in the PS?
I would rather start rusty, or even lose an opener than lose a starter for the season in a PS game. Just my. 02.

But...we could be trading rest in the preseason for a loss on opening day.

That’s the risk out of the gate... but if this is his approach, it’s on McVay to get some type of game speed feel out of the practices then.

But, yeah, that’s the concern we all share; rust

I'm fine with this watched Buffalo and Detroit last night lose enough starters and make me totally understand the decision. Not easy to watch as a fan or have your team go 0-4 in preseason, you like to win, but it's the right thing to do.

You guys are nuts. I think I’ll start 8-0 rather than risking starters in meaningless games. Smh

Seriously, we went to the Super Bowl last year. More and more teams are taking this approach now, they're doing that for a reason.
