Still numb over this loss. Everything was there for the taking , and they squandered it. I can’t say that I didn’t see it coming, since it happens way too often. Lost 2 of the last 3 games, and now it’s on the road in the playoffs. Yes they can win on the road , but it’s a hell of a lot harder. I’ve never seen a team that goes so cold so fast as we do. Eventually it will come back to bite you in the ass.

Seems like the Rams can protest?????

Rule 17 - "Emergency" Provisions: The Commissioner has the authority to investigate and take action if a game's outcome was affected by an "unfair act".
Remedies: If a protest is upheld, the Commissioner may:
Order the game to be replayed from the point of the error.
Reverse the game's result.
Adjust the game's timing or score.
Has this ever happened? Has an outcome ever been changed or a game been replayed?

I am 1000 percent not concerned about a road game.

Let me make this perfectly clear. Our run defense and running game is built for this. Cold weather negates our weakness. Our secondary.

The whistle blows the play dead. Unless it doesn't. If a player hits that guy who picked up the ball to stop him from picking it up after the whistle blows he'll be penalized and probably fined. But picking up the ball results in points. There is no fairness in the NFL.

Special team cost us, which is no surprise to any loyal fan.
I just get a chuckle out of some of you guys laying blame on McVay as Monday Morning Quarterbacks. We ran it all game long and after 3 consecutive 3 and outs, it's wtf was coach thinking....after the result, because we continued trying to run. Our QB threw for over 450. We scored 37. Blame special teams, the defensive players on the 3rd and long conversion late in the first half (running play for C-sake), or tip your hat to the other team, G-forbid.
We came off of a huge win on Saturday, on a short week, when our HC tried to celebrate the birth of his kid at 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
If you can't appreciate the time and place we are in as Rams fans, find another team. We've got, imo, the best combination of owner, GM, and coach in professional sports. A team full of high-character dudes led by wonderful men. We lost a game to a 11-3 team at their place in OT by one point.
We're fine.
Thanks for that. I DO feel a little bit better.
And I am NOT being sarcastic.

This game and all insults it contained has me seriously rethinking football as a hobby. Watching not one but TWO referee's celebrate a Seattle first down still make me taste vomit in the back of my throat.
Fuck football.

Once you blow the f&$#ing whistle ....... the play is over.
Don't care if the official blew it inadvertently either. Nobody was "going for the ball" after the ball hit the ground.
Ridiculous call.
No doubt, we had a play not long ago where we picked up a fumble and ran it in for a TD. Replay showed it was a fumble, but the whistle blew and the TD didn't count. The play was called dead because of the whistle.

We've all seen that happen during games a few times over the years, and the league changed the rule for that play.
I've NEVER seen a play called like that one last night after the whistle blows.

True words brother but it’s easy to rag on McVay rather than the execution and accepting Seattle’s D came to life, for three series, when we had been handing them their lunch all game long up to then
Make no mistake, I was not implying McVay should be taking all of the heat for those three and outs. There were a lot of drops.

I cannot believe how awful the officiating was.

Two big time calls, with serious impact on the game, blown.

Illegal man downfield reversed a TD into FG and of course the 2-pt conversion. The on field ref reviewing the 2pt call I doubt gets game audio to hear the whistle. NY should have stepped in, but I think they were all hot and horny looking at the backwardness of the pass.

Terrible.

We can win from any seed and our home field is mostly an advantage weather only. It's the potential loss of the 1st round bye is the bitch for me.

I rarely blame the refs for a loss, but this loss is directly on them.

Two good teams battling and they just handed it over to Seattle.

Bad coaching. Sorry it is what it is.
I also think this team is lacking the Donald/Whitworth types. Donald would've destroyed a locker room after the eagles game. It wouldn't have happened again. This current roster is full of talent. But they might not have that level of dog just yet. Hopefully these games help grow it.

The 1 seed is NOT wrapped up. Still a LOT can happen.

And just so you know the 6 seed last year knocked off the #1.

Lets stop acting like last nights loss was a season ender...IT WASNT.

i agree with the OP. this isn't a SB winning team. Secondary is bottom 5 in the league and that's not a debate that allows quick TDs when the team is up. It wont hold against good teams.
LOL. You wish. Go back to your Seahawk or Niner board.
