No we're not signing him due to age, injury history, and Seahawk stench but it is another sign of the dismantling of their defense. That butt-kicking by the Rams last season must have woken their front office up. In case anyone missed the highlights of that game, here you go.

The dismantling of a once-great Seahawks defense continued Friday.

The team announced that defensive end Cliff Avril had been released with a failed physical designation.

He suffered a neck injury early last year, and the team made it clear that if he came back to play, it wasn’t going to be with them.

Avril has said he wants to keep playing, though it’s unclear who will give him a chance with his age and the injury.

Avril joins Michael Bennett, Richard Sherman, and eventually Kam Chancellor on the outs this offseason.

He had 33.5 sacks over his four years with the Seahawks, and forced 13 fumbles.

I wish I had the entire game on tape to watch over and over!!(y);):yess:
* 57 yard gain on a 3rd and 20!
* 7 Sacks!
* Gurley w/ 4 TD's!
* Coopers Return game!
Etc.! Etc.! Etc.!
Are you referring to Wood's TD catch on 3rd & 33? There were so many awesome plays last year, I totally forgot about that play by Woods until you just mentioned it. That was an awesome play!

Nevermind: that was the Giants game!

Maybe he should file for collusion against the NFL. I'm sure Reid and Kaepernick are feeling a little lonely about now.

We were like those who dream....
what a great season. Crushing teams like the Giants and Seahawks. Steamrolling lesser opponents like the Colts. You can hear our guys yelling "woo-hoo-hoo-hooooo!" & having fun. Went down to the wire against the reigning SB champs da Iggles. Going toe-to-toe against great teams like the Vikes & Falcs, narrowly missing our first playoff win in like forever.
This season can't get here soon enough. I tink we now have great talent at every starting position & depth right behind them, with top-notch coaching at many levels & a great GM.
...how long will it last? how can we magically get all our amazing players re-signed like AD & TG & JG & the new guyz BC & MP & etc.?? It's already getting tough seeing guys like AO & TA & Johnson leave.
