And Stafford's spinal contusion was just a conspiracy.

We fell for that!?! How could we ignore the Mountain of Evidence to support these conspiracies! Silly Boys.
I will say that I was extremely worried about Stafford's health before preseason started.

I watched the game back through and cannot understand why we never play action pass
That is an extremely good question. Goff was a master of the PA pass as a Ram and McVay used it a lot.

Not sure why he doesn't use it more with Stafford.

I haven't rewatched any games this year yet but I would bet the % that when Stafford lines up under center, it is a run over 90% of the time. (I could be wrong. Someone know?) At least it appears that way to me.

Sounds about right. We run the ball in a very similar way to the Pats when Brady was QB. It might be that Stafford prefers to see the field that way but why not mix in more play action? We are building towards next year but does that mean we need be so vanilla? The commentators love to talk about McVey running so many options from one look but I can’t say I have noticed that much this year

the reason is that the pocket has a tendency to collapse fast against fronts like the steelers - so those long developing play actions are risky. A few times in the game when they tried play action Stafford was a half second from disaster

they did have a couple big plays on play action though.

If they can somehow get Chase Young without sacrificing our 1st rounder, I'm all about it. Somehow get them to take one of our high priced back up OL in the deal, even better!
If they give anything more than a 3rd they're nuts

The same Mrs. Stafford who asserted that Matthew wasn't connecting with the young receivers right before he connected with a rookie WR to break the NFL rookie records for most receptions and yards to start a season?

If memory serves, Stafford has always been primarily a shotgun QB..... I honestly don't think he likes being under center and Sean has changed his scheme accordingly.... For better or for worse. I agree we need more PA in this offense. Even our (RBs) backups, backups have been effective enough to make defenses honor the PA....

Agreed. We don't just completely lay an egg against the Bengals and if we actually had a reliable kicker we are sitting at 5-2 right now with our only losses to the 9ers and the Eagles and we were in both of those games. This very young team is going to figure things out before the season is over

every team has games like this throughout the year and can easily talk themselves into a few more wins. The good part of looking at games that we could have won, it shows that the rams are close to being really good and being a winner.

Looking at that 4th quarter, our offense had 8 plays and held the ball for 3 minutes. Pittsburgh's below average offense scored twice and ran the the last 5 and a half minutes out. Do we really think we have the makings of a playoff team? I love my team and will watch every week hoping for the best. But it really is all about next year. Not this year.
