As Tony Dungy said, after he won the SB with the Colts, they beat a very good New Orleans team the next year 41-10...and they did NOT repeat. One game does not a season make.

As for Green Bay... that defense looked atrocious. How many tackles did they miss? No matter who finishes dead last in the NFC West, it will be a WAY tougher game than that... the tackling was just gawd awful and not just Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix. Also, contain. How bad was the backside contain? I mean Russell Wilson was able to run that damn naked bootleg AT WILL against them and every single time, the defense acted surprised.

Does Dom Capers not teach back side contain or do his guys just not listen?

See, that's the thing. Against Seattle, if you do NOT execute, if you don't tackle, if you don't contain and maintain gap responsibility... then because THEY DO, it's pretty easy pickins...

That's why I have us beating so many teams this year. We've been banging heads against the two best executing and fundamentally sound teams in the NFL for the last two years and played them tough. It's not just a matter of who's on which roster. It's a matter of getting folks to play together, to execute, to play fundamentally sound football.

This game was a great illustration as to why the NFC West is still by far the toughest in the NFL, although it's still just one game, and why the Rams if they can stay healthy should be far more feared than they are.

Say what you want about the Seahawks...

Mkay then.

They are beatable and I can't wait til our rams do it, given the chance I would like to see the rams give them a taste of their own medicine and run up the score on them going for it on 4th and 1 in the red zone with 2 minutes left in the game and up by two TD's is bush League IMO

Green Bay got dominated in the trenches. And you saw what happens. Which is probably why the Rams have invested so much in the trenches. You want to win in the NFL? You do it in the trenches.(and you have a QB)

Cheat Camel still thinks he's in college, he doesn't know any better.

Yeah they look good playing a finesse team.
Match them up against a team like the Rams that have physically overpowering lines they're not so impressive.

Yeah so did Rodgers on his second scoring drive.

I wasn't as impressed with Seattle so much as I was I unimpressed with GB's defense, particularly against the run. Packers defense got beat up front tonight. Plain and simple. And their offense did too for that matter. Doesn't help that they lost two starting o-linemen though.

Not haveing Raji to clog the middle played a huge role in the Packer rush defense. Seattle played at a high level, though.

Fuck Seattle. Packers usually look off early in the season anyway. Bunch of cheaters, won't get love from me.

I hope Seattle gets a hockey team just so I can watch the Kings stomp them for the next 30 years.

That has nothing to do with it, they are obviously a very good team, but I'm sick of people worshipping them. It's like every Rams board turns into the Wussel Wilson fan club, when I just want to punch that guy in the face.
He and the seahawks have earned that "worship". He's the QB that we wish we had. We haven't done Jack Spit in well over a decade so it's understandable why the forums are the way they are.

I saw some very creative play calling by Seattle all night long

Their game plans are smart. When we played them at the end of last year, they pushed their LBs close to the line and dared Clemens to throw over them. Against a premium QB they played their LBs really deep and dared the Packers to run at them. Rogers got nothing but underneath stuff all night. Presumably, with Bradford down, they will be closing off the run and making Hill throw over them. It's not rocket science, but it's surprising how many teams don't do it. Maybe having big, athletic guys in key positions helps!!!

Seahawks are legit. We all knew that. We also know that our Rams aren't scared. Packers are a finess team, kinda like the GSOT Rams. The Seahawks are some rough and tough defenders. Their Dline and LBs are lacking, but that secondary is fucking amazing. Sherman is hands down the best at what he does. Their offence? Meh, that's not a concern for me. Peppers and Mathews aren't shit compared to Quinn and Long. Go Rams

I'll echo VARam; great play calling on offense.

Hatred (jealousy) aside, you have got to respect how they built that team though. They are definitely doing something right up there with player evaluation to fit their system and coaching them up.

I've only seen the highlight tapes, but it looked like the Seahawks did to GB what they did to the Broncos & Manning - was there a "no tackling rule" against Lynch? I'm sure I saw him stop and eat some skittles on one run - was really shocking from the Packers....

I dont remember facing Harvin last year.......that kid is a handful. I'm sure we can shut down the beast, but Harvin can rip us up if we arent prepared.

soooo objectivity has no place here?
soo quit expanding it to "THIS PLACE" whenever a poster says he doesn't like like what someone posts,if you hve that opinion of "THIS PLACE" no-ones forcing you to stay

Put the gun down dude. We're all still Rams fans here. You have everything to live for.
