Great to hear Gurley is getting work as a wideout. I've been expecting him to develop into more of a route runner rather just an option to turn around out in the flat somewhere. With his smarts and incredible ability no reason why he can't expand his repertoire into some real receiver stuff. Just creating another mismatch against opposing defenses...Actually, Gurley hit the line of scrimmage so fast, that he blew right threw two defenders, like a wideout. But, on that play he was in the backfield, lined up directly to the right of Goff. At the snap, Gurley just took off to the right, and immediately into his pattern. Didn't stop to block or anything.
Also would be curious to see who can get down field faster, Cooks or Gurley. Assume it should be Cooks but Gurley can outrun the d backs too.
