His contract wasn't guaranteed, since he wasn't signed for week 1. Because of his years of experience, he had a base contract of $790k, prorated over the two games - so he gets 2/17 of that (bye weeks get a paycheck too). Works out to $46,470 per week, or $92,941 total. Not bad for less than two weeks work.

I remember back in year 2 of GZs career where I was scared everytime he was going to kick a field goal, cuz alot of times he would miss. Now, I can't imagine any other kicker that is better than him. I can't believe what a difference a little time makes.
