If Jeff Fisher was still the Rams coach, then Goodell would have called him and told him he had to draft Sanders.

Fisher would have been like, “ No problem! I’ll draft them both!” I love entitled players, I’ve got a roster full of them.

At 10 I played with the coach's son in little league t-ball. His dad was brutal to him, made him cry on the field for making a mistake. I also played with the head coach's son in HS football. He wasn't favored or coddled at all, started next to me on the O-line and he did fine. His dad was stern to him at times but no more or less than the rest of us. Last time I saw him was in 1996 he was working as a city bus driver. Got on the bus in Kahala and he goes "Hey Mike." I sat up front and I talked with him until my stop. So they weren't all spoiled in my day... I think something changed years after that like...hmmm.... maybe the $$$$$$.

I wouldn't waste even one of our five 6ths on Shmanders. Let him be another team's problem.
My experience with dads is most seem to be harder on their kids than other kids. I get the feeling Deion was not that with his kid. If anything he coddled Shedeur making him think he's the next great one. If its something that has been going on for years the kid has developed that personality. That's gonna be hard to change who you are.

I just wish we could get this guy on a team with Aaron Rodgers.

But seriously, from an asset allocation stand point, imo it makes more sense to let some other poor dumb team burn a draft pick on trying to fix this guy, and fail, and picking up the scraps, for free, if the scraps seem like they might be worth something.

Hell, let some poor CFL or UFL team burn their energy and time on trying to fix him and fail. Let someone else be the vanguard at rehabbing/fixing this guy.

First, I think whoever drafts him is going to have to have a solid backing from the owner. In other words, he's going to have to go to a team with a coach who is on solid ground and not someone like Daboll who could be fired any moment. McVay fits that bill. I really think at this point the Rams take a chance on him. If he is humbled (how can you not be) and gets in among a bunch of vets who won't put up with his shit (too bad AD isn't here still to be sure of that) maybe he turns out to be a baller and we end up with two first rounders next year to spend on defense.

At this point you could draft Sanders, showcase him with some packages in 2025, then trade him for something much better than a 5th rounder next offseason.

Sanders is the kid who played little league baseball who was coached by his dad. He played short stop & pitched. His dad coached him at every age. Even started a travel team when he got older and he kissed his ass all along the way and treated him like he was a star. Then when it was time to play HS baseball, the HS coach played the other kids who didn't act like they were the greatest thing since sliced bread, while the Sanders kid rarely played.

Daddy then bitched and moaned at every game as he couldn't believe his kid wasn't playing. He was stunned at the situation his son was in. How can he not be the teams star player? Eventually the kid quit.

I have seen this up close with a couple of kids when my son played HS baseball. Dad treated their kid like he was so much better than everyone else at every level, without realizing there were much better kids who kept working and improving while playing on the same teams his kid was playing on.

I blame the dad...he created the situation.
I was going to say Deion should get more blame than anyone

Well here you got a coach that goes by the name of coach prime which starts the message problem. I hope the 9ers draft sanders. Not that would be legendary.
I wonder if those coach prime pigeon comercials will go by the wayside?

Coach prime telling his son he will be a top 5 pick...

I am ok at this point if we rolled the dice on him he does have skill and also has eaten a lot of humble pie this far the question remains if it's enough. Also coming here I believe mcvay and the Rams are one of the 3-4 originations that can take the chance. He would come here knowing he would be fighting Bennett for qb3 so right there it's a bit more crow. If we can cut ties with Kupp and Gurley Woods etc there would not be allegiance to him. He either comes in with a chip on his shoulder in a good way to set the world on fire or he basically tanks his career further.

Or he doesn't come in at all thanks to the Browns.
