Here we are, 6 games into the season and sporting a .500 win/loss ratio. Completely frikken unacceptable I tell yah what. Goff is a bust, Gurley is finished, McVay is figured out, Wade needs to be put out to pasture. Rome is burning, folks...

Talk about a bunch of fair weather fans, good grief. The amount of negativity and total pessimism on this board blows my mind. It wasn't this bad even during the Fisher era. You guys (and gals) need to wake up and realize all the good things we have going for us. This isnt like the dark days of yesteryear where there is no proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. We have a very good coaching staff that holds themselves accountable. Remember that even though we have a great coaching staff, they are still human. No one is perfect. Even Bill Bellicheck is not infallible....and he is a living football God. We have a core group of very talented players that will still be here for several seasons. We are 1 or 2 o-linemen from being an elite team again...but peeps, please remember, just because we are not elite does not mean that we are all of a sudden bottom of the barrel. I am not Paul Revere and the British are not coming. Stop acting like a bunch of snobbish spoiled brats and start acting like adults worthy of being called Rams Fans.

This is a call to arms.

I'm with ya Brotha. I try to stay away from the negativity and stay positive. I don't think the Debbie Downers are fairweather fans though, some peeps just gravitate to the negative....

We are still better than anytime during the Linehan, Spags or Fisher years. I aint mad. Not always rainbows and sunshine, but not like we 6 feet under. We will get better, no doubt about it.

I'd like to say I've never raged during a game before but that would be a lie, so maybe that's why I'm not crusading against that stuff.

That said it's a ridiculous statement and the poster will realize that in time if he doesn't already.

Its time fans were honest with themselves. I love this team, much like the more toxic fans do. But there is zero logic behind wanting to get rid of Gurley, start Bortles, and fire Wade. Look we suck at the moment, because we let players go; and took risks on players we expected to produce at a high level (Fowler). It happens, we suck. I hate it, we all hate it. But damn, loyalty and confidence isn't just taken away just after 6 games. That is not how this works. Gurley was our workhorse back, and carried us when we had no one. Goff couldn't even take snaps under center; and yet the same guy sat there and had two incredible seasons. And our coach? We were nothing, until he got here. Like someone said, we were a dumpster fire. Am I saying we need to be okay with mediocrity? F*ck no. But damn it, there is no chance in hell we blow it all up now. Its time for some patchwork; through coaching, training, trades and damn near whatever you can find to make this an average football team.

It is still possible to turn this around. And even if we don't, this era is far from over. All we lack, is a competent Offensive line, and some corners. Lets keep it real gentlemen, we f*cked ourselves. You can blame it on Sean, Snead, whomever. But now we patch as we go, and fix it in the off season. We will never start Bortles unless Goff gets hurt, and as far as I'm concerned when Gurley is ready to go he will be starting over Henderson; period. You can kick, scream, get as emotional as you want to. Cooler heads prevail. And the Rams will figure this out, with or without you. Because true fans will be here through the good, the bad and the ugly. Its not how you start, its how you finish. And the McVay era is just getting started.

I don't desire to be negative but we all saw the game yesterday.
We just lost 3 in a row. Two at home. It hurts when you're a devout Ram fan like I am. It hurts, so its plenty understandable that many of us say negative things, because well, the team is playing very negative right now. Yes we have injuries galore. But lots of other teams have injuries and many of them are winning.

I'm still completely loyal to my Rams, and will watch every minute of every game. But there's some crazy stuff going on right now with play calling and defensive philosophy. Of course we do not bench Goff. But I'm kinda on the side that I think this should be Wade's last season. I'd love to go 4-3 with a whole new philosophy in there, that involves more blitzes.

Do you really think we're going to get better as the season goes on?

Here's the most important question I have for you sir. Do you think we will make the playoffs?

Lose 3 games in a row and there isn't much to be positive about. "We lost those games, but such and such player looks good. . . ."

I tend to ignore inflammatory remarks in this forum as I believe fans are entitled to their frustrations knowing they put their valuable time in this team. For me, I have other obligations I simply put my focus on to distract from these frustrating losses (i.e. do my workout routine; see what's going on my favorite soccer team, Borussia Dortmund; or chill with close friends and family members)

By the end of the day, life is too short to get worked up over your favorite sports team losing. I like showing my passion for this team when it involves positive vibes.

Well then why are we losing?

Well then why are we losing?

Missed FG

Defense giving up scores on short fields.

Other team shut them down.

Part of football, nothing more nothing less. Surely isn't the endgame that some posts make it out to be.

Is it the end of the world if we don't? There is A LOT of football left to play. Say we make a trade for a couple decent guards...say Garrapolo gets hurt again....how do our chances look then to win the division?

Obviously the reverse is true as well.

Here is my point, I gravitated towards ROD before the McVay era because it was a great place to retreat to when the Rams were mired in mediocrity. It didn't hurt to be a fan inside the confines of this forum. Now the script has flipped and I cant escape my feelings by retreating to ROD because of the top 10 posts, 8 of them are garbage. Gone are the days when we were a band of brothers bonded strongly by the love of the team and the game. Through thick or thin, win or lose we found asylum here. This is not who we are as a fan base....we are acting like Browns or Jets fans good God.

I understand. Being generally positive in life is a great thing. It makes for a better life. It literally can make a person healthier physically. But regarding the Rams and what's currently happening, I just cannot get myself to say that we are 6-0 and headed in the right direction. I have to be real with myself in that we are 3-3 and not showing signs of improving. Sad but true. I had truthfully expected us to win the division this year again, but now I do not even expect to make the playoffs as a wildcard. Maybe it doesn't you, but it really hurts me.

No you don't understand, brother. The fact that it hurts is the reason why it's bullcrap. I'm not asking people to look through rose colored glasses and be stupidly optimistic....I'm just asking that people not lose perspective due to their feelings. It is one thing to say the o line is bad and that we need to fix a couple things and lead a fruitful discussion on the subject....that's realistic and productive. What is NOT ok is to lose total faith in the team while simultaneously acting like we are the Patriots fallen from grace. You want to be realistic? Let's be realistic. THE RAMS ARE NOT A DYNASTY. Not yet. There is a long way to go for that to be true. We have to actually win a championship first. So why in the world be so offended or act so surprised when all of a sudden we look average for a few weeks.

Bro the general attitude doesn't just apply to the game threads or vents threads anymore, that's my issue. Trust me, I rage during games, I'm not perfect in that regard. But my goodness we lost 3 in a row and now all of a sudden people are suggesting that we tank the season for a draft slot....

I have had a gripe about the OL in past weeks, but realise that compromises have been made.
We're somewhat paying the price.
However, there is no need to rehash the same stuff week after week.

We've got the talent.
Part of the issue is how we rose to success in two seasons.
We shouldn't forget what mcvay has done for this team.
I don't live in the past but there are plenty of games left in this season.
We need to win the remainder of our divisional games and i am sure we will be there or thereabouts for the playoffs.
Just get behind the team.

All of that being said, I don't want to argue with my rams brothers and sisters and do not want to contribute to the negativity. I'm just asking for everyone to take a step back, take a deep breath, and attempt to refocus perspective before this season gets any older. I have a feeling that if we dont do that as a collective, its going to be a very long season indeed.

What hurts me more than the. . .

-injuries

-the unprepared or not executing team in general

-the feeling that maybe we really might be hitting that super bowl year after melt down

-the rentless pressure on Goff and Gurley and the rest due to the underperforming line.

-Mcvay figured out talk

-etc. etc. etc.

Was seeing that stadium full on RED yesterday. That was not a home game in any sense of the form. I mean I guess it was for San Francisco.
