Doesn’t look good for Miller.
It would have been more smart to not talk about returning to Denver before the Rodgers deal happened. Now, fans will rightly assume that the Rams are just a team of convenience for him with no real loyalty and it’s too bad. I’ve lost some respect that I had for him…
I mean, he was traded and played 2 months for them, I’m not exactly sure how much loyalty he should have.

According to Spotrac they are projected at almost $30M above the cap. Who will Rodgers throw to since they will be unable to afford Davante and will have trouble resigning Scantling?

I don't think they'll care about MVS. That dude is inconsistent AF.

They'll find a way to keep DA. Teams always keep their best players, unless there's some off field issue. Something has to go terribly wrong for a guy like DA to walk.

Given your username, I guess we shouldn't be surprised by that take! :sunglasses:

I get where you're coming from, but I still want Miller back.

Von's just using his leverage. Sone of which disappeared with Rogers signing in Green Bay. Denver is in for a rough stretch IMO. They're gonna have better teams in KC and Vegas as 1-2 in that division.

Rams gonna get this done.

I don't mind Rodgers taking that much cap hit in GB. He's a really good QB but plays it too safe IMO, which is why he struggles to win big games lately. Winning QBs of late all have the balls to throw into tight windows and risk INTs. Look at the league leaders in that category. Herbert. Burrow. Stafford. Mahomes. All guys I would take over Rodgers. Green Bay's best chance was this past year, IMO, and they blew it.

Remember this, because almost every player is like this. They'll complain about wanting management to win now, or consider retiring, or wanting say in personnel decisions. Ultimately, they don't want any of that, they want more money. Rogers complaints aren't rationally resolved because of this extension. Kyler Murray's drama wasn't anything except a ploy for more money. Even AD (whom I love, and deserves every penny) isn't actually considering retirement, he's looking for more money. 99% of players would rather play for more money on the worst team than play on a budget for a ring.

Really can't blame them. This sport eats men alive.

I think von is just having fun with being a FA for the first (and probably only) time in his career. He wants to know his value before he commits, so he's sending out a bunch of mixed signals.

If he signs with us (assuming we don't overpay for his contributions), all will be forgiven.

Meh. Would you have more respect if he lied? It's a business and none of us can put ourselves in these guys' shoes.

I've heard from people in the know that say Discount Double Choke is more concerned about his stats than actually winning the game. He is super aware of his stat line at all times... SUPER aware.

So you're post is dead on Brudda. He's not going to risk his stat line when it's nut crunching time.

.

how soon before he complains that the packers didn't surround him with enough talent?

he got a Super Bowl ring because of the team that surrounded him, so that counts for nothing?
