I played CB, and WR, also played a lot of RB. QB in a pinch. I also returned kicks and punts, and loved playing gunner on ST’s, so yeah, I can fit somewhere.

Okay, we need some help on D.

So... CB it is... (plus I’m no dummy... I want a doctor on my side of the field... just in case).

I’ll drop back and help the safeties, and bump @Selassie I to DE. He’s a bit more stout than me and I think he’s got the attitude for it.

I see @dieterbrock hasn’t convinced @bubbaramfan ... start practicing that shotgun snap... diets.

Played HS ball in eastern New Mexico as a MLB and FB. In our offense the FB got the ball as much as the HB did, maybe more. I was instinctive as a FB and earned a starting position half way through the season as a sophomore but loved hitting people as a MLB and it took a awhile to get to being a 2 way starter.

Played against two future NFL players, when I was in HS. When was a sophomore Brian Urlacher was a Sr. At That pos Lovington High was in our district and we lost because of the stupidest call I’ve seen! A fake ass roughing the kicker penalty! And other being Hank Baskett at Clovis High when I wasa Jr. And he was a Freshman in a JV game. ( I somehow convinced the coaches to let me play JV and varsity and an occasional freshman game for my tenure! Lol)

I played a semester at NMSU on special teams before I went into the USMC like a mental midget.

I’d kill for some of those old VHS tapes.

But if anything I can be the water boy!

Game plan.

#1-- Control the LOS on both sides of the ball. It all starts up front.

2-- Play with passion. Wheather its for the paycheck, love of the game or just wanting to kick some ass, I don't care. Just bring it for 4 qtrs.

3-- On O. Protect the football. Turnovers decide games.

4-- On D. Be sure of your tackling. Wiffed tackles decide games.

5-- Avoid stupid penalties. Control your emotions.

Those 5 points are paramount before any other gameplaning going into a game.

Bring your own cheerleaders
Bring your own Bottle
Bring your own health insurance
Play will commence at 4:20 under the lights
Bring your own lights

We may need a players union for further bargaining.

Alright everyone... training camp is over. I hope you’ve been getting ready!

Here is how this works...
  1. I will initiate the game by hiking the ball.
  2. By announcing who has the ball, that person is responsible for describing what happens next, handing off commentary to another player.
  3. So on and so forth.
That’s it. Be creative. Involve others. Talk shit.

As example;

I simply write... “@CGI_Ram hikes the ball to @Selassie I.”

@Selassie I calls the next event by replying... “@Selassie I drops back to pass, is forced outside the pocket by @RamFan503 who is limping badly.”

@RamFan503 then replies next in the thread. Adding to the play. Handing off commentary to another player.

Let’s see how good we can screw this up...

RamDino drops back to pass, looking deep, steps up in the pocket and heaves a bomb to @RamFan503...

If we're using our skills today I'd probably be on the offensive line somewhere so I don't have to run too much. Probably center or guard. When I was younger TE was the best position for me. I was usually one of the bigger, taller guys. I had sticky fingers on catches and I always knew how to shield the defender from the ball like a basketball player blocks out on rebounds. I literally put my body on the defender so I can win the 50/50 balls. But speed never was my game. More power and leverage than anything else. If I ran the ball my nickname was Boom Boom.

On defense, again on the line because of my size and lack of speed. Back then 6'1" 225 lbs was pretty much the biggest guy most times. Although I preferred OLB because I had a knack for recognizing the play while it was developing. But again, lack of speed usually meant I was on the line. On the line I could get a push into the backfield but I rarely got to the QB because I wasn't fast enough. He usually got rid of the ball or took off running.

Of course if I played today I'd either be in traction afterwards or in the ice tub for a week.

Oh wait, training camp is over and I spent all that time typing my resume?
