:heh:Sorry Alan forgot to tag the next man. I was trying to be sneaky at work.
Fantastic pick! Great value to say the least! He was #1 on my wish list for my #77 pick!! So .. well .... KMLWA!! " he was the last man standing on my Top 50 list! He can play inside or outside, and has a SPARQ score of 124.6!!Thanks Alan, Thanks OC-LeftCoast You made it possible for me to land my sleeper. Getting Perry makes the sting of losing Danny Trevathan a lot more bearable. This kid is a player nobody would mind in the locker room. He is an aggressive tackling machine just like Trevathan. I was worried a few of you guys may have noticed him sitting there.
Some pundants had him ranked as high as 49. I think he fits nicely with Von Miller.
Joshua Perry, OLB
School: Ohio State | Conference: BIG10
College Experience: Senior | Hometown: Galena, OH
Height/Weight: 6-4 / 254 lbs.
Player Overview
On an Ohio State roster full of stars, it's easy to overlook Perry, who wasn't a five-star recruit and won't make a ton of splash plays. But he was the unsung hero of the Buckeyes' defense in 2014, leading the team with 124 total tackles (32 tackles more than the second leading tackler).
STRENGTHS: Perry only knows how to play one speed with a nonstop motor, and his approach allows him to make stops other linebackers can't. He has strong hands and wrists to take on blocks and finish tackles, not allowing road blocks to slow him down in pursuit.
According to several close to the program, he is the "consummate teammate" due to his mature mental makeup and leadership traits on and off the field.
WEAKNESSES: Aggressive approach takes him out of plays at times.
IN OUR VIEW: One of only three senior starters for the Buckeyes' defense, Perry won't receive many headlines and won't be as highly drafted as other on his team, but his combination of steady play on the field and coachable attitude off of it will earn him draftable grades around the league.
