The 9ers were unable to take the risk of losing this player to another team and deemed it important to move up and secure his services. I know what you're thinking, here goes Paxton Lynch or Connor Cook. Nope. My plan is simple. After losing out on the top 2 QBs, the 9ers plan on taking the BPA. After taking over the worst team in the league, I knew this rebuild would be a process. Being in the NFC West, I knew that taking a QB high without having help for him would not be best. So after going 0-6 in the NFC West in 201, that will put us in prime position to take our franchise QB next year in Kelly, if Kap doesn't work out. With our first round pick, we took the best DE in the draft. We now traded up for the best in another position that is long in the tooth and in need of an elite prospect.
With the 25th pick in the 2016 NFL ROD Mock Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Notre Dame LB Jaylon Smith.
Some may say this is early for a guy coming off of an ACL/MCL tear. But I personally have torn my ACL/MCL and shredded my meniscus all at the same time. My knee is strong as ever and so is his. The kid is leg pressing 600+ and squatting 400 only 3 months after injury.

Welcome to the 9ers Jaylon.
