When Smith Talks receivers, I open my ears. He would make one hellacious scout.
If I were in a position to do so, I think I would pay him a ungodly amount of money,
just to come in and scout receiving talent.

Agreed. All he'd need is to sit down with McVay and Yarbs and get the prioritization of what the Rams are looking for (with route running and intelligence factoring in largely) and let him do his thing.

I don't know why more ex-players don't scout for that matter. I'd think it would be a good second career to travel around watching some ball. Guy like Smith probably has better offers like television but in general.

How can these guys remain relevant when they are so wrong so many times? I guess they can talk a great game. Real substance doesn't matter. Reminds me of my golf game. I'm great at the practice range but lousy on the course.

Yeah it's the same reason politicians have survived so long... People don't bother to go back and look at their track record. And of course today it's all about clicks & visits to pages so it ain't gonna change if anything it will just get worse lol.

This is why I come to sites like this for my information. The posters here know more about football than 90% of those fucking media clowns.
