My youngest son and I drove out to the middle school which he attends, to work on his route running.
I was talking to him about all the various reasons why running routes correctly, and consistently are vital to success.
After the workout and on the way home I am thinking of ways to kind of reinforce my teaching points.
So I figure I will show him a NFL receiver echoing some of these thoughts.
You guys know it took several hours for me to come up with a player who represents route running at its' best.

So I'm Utubing Kupp, looking for a video of him speaking on the importance of running routes correctly.
That's when I came accross this video of these guys giving their thoughts of a 2017 pre-draft Kupp.
Got a pretty good laugh watching it and thought I would share it with you guys in hope that you will enjoy it as much as I did.

No Joke: Steve Smith seriously believes Cooper Kupp is the No. 1 WR in the 2017 NFL Draft

People this arrogant, when wrong, should have to stop talking about whatever it is they were so arrogant about.

if you watch the vid, make sure to get to the very end hahahahaha. If I had said this I would have been so ashamed. Would have had to delete my account and get a real job.

There is a great video on why Van Jefferson is already a great route runner. Look it up for your son. It's late I'm going to bed.

.

that's the problem with fantasy geeks. they get all their stats, put players in a box and think that's the truth. when in reality they don't know their heads from their arseholes. go to any fantasy website and you will find horrible takes on players.

we will be doing the same thing for van jefferson in 3 years.

I like how those guys think they're smarter than the coaches and, from the sounds of it, most coaches. "They know different aspects of these players so we can't completely discredit them." The pure unadulterated arrogance of it. Those are two guys standing at the peak of Dunning-Krueger mountain and celebrating.

Is there any way I can email or message these guys? Lol. I just want to see what their thoughts are on Kupp now and if they admit they were wrong or still believe he’s a bum

Steve Smith is one smart MFer and obviously has great taste in wideouts.

Oh and btw the guy he loved this year (talked up quite a bit in an interview I recall) was Brandon Aiyuk.

And we can all "thank" fantasy football for idiots like this even having a voice.

Kupp has shown more value than every WR taken above him, and that includes Mike Williams and JuJu Smith, who everyone loves to geek over.

Goodwin is probably the only receiver in the draft class (that I can think of) that could potentially be put above him, but I think the value Kupp brings is greater.

OK, I had to look this one up. Once I found out what it meant, it was hilarious.
1maGoh , Well done sir. You made me laugh annnd bumped my IQ up into
the top half of the "special" category

For any other "specialites" looking for a definition:

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a type of cognitive bias in which people believe that they are smarter and more capable than they really are. Essentially, low ability people do not possess the skills needed to recognize their own incompetence.

Lemme see. That guy said he likes Ismael Zamora better than Kupp. All Kupp has done is catch 196 balls for 2596 yards and 21 TD's in 39 games. Zamora was cut by the Raiders. Went to the Arena League. Reassigned to God knows what last year and is out of football.

How can these guys remain relevant when they are so wrong so many times? I guess they can talk a great game. Real substance doesn't matter. Reminds me of my golf game. I'm great at the practice range but lousy on the course.

When Smith Talks receivers, I open my ears. He would make one hellacious scout.
If I were in a position to do so, I think I would pay him a ungodly amount of money,
just to come in and scout receiving talent.

I commented on their youtube. Plenty of people have commented calling them out. Not a single response that I saw.
