So what's the news on him? McVay said he didn't have any updates at this time.

Anyone have any actual news?

Please no speculating

Nope, no news. If there was a hint on Twitter or anything, it would have been posted.

Sure would think we’d hear more very soon.

Sean McVay unsure when Robert Woods will be back with Rams

The Los Angeles Rams delivered some surprising news just 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday night when they announced that Robert Woods would be inactive against the Bears. It wasn’t initially clear whether he suffered an injury at some point this weekend or exactly why he wouldn’t be suiting up, but it was revealed that he’s dealing with a personal matter.

It was a big loss for the Rams, but they were still able to come away with the 17-7 win at home. According to Sean McVay, the team didn’t know until “a couple hours before the game” that Woods wouldn’t be available.

He wouldn’t elaborate on what exactly Woods is tending to, saying he doesn’t know when the receiver will be back with the team.

“Yeah, it’s hard to say,” McVay said of when Woods will return. “I don’t want to give a finite answer on that. I most importantly want to be able to talk to him afterwards. I talked to him before the game, but want to be able to check with him and out of respect for his family, that’s why we’re just kind of leaving it at what it is.”

Woods has been the Rams’ most consistent receiver the last three seasons, playing a key role on offense. He’s not only a reliable pass catcher, but also the Rams’ best blocking wideout, leading the way for Todd Gurley countless times on the edge.

McVay should have more of an update this week as it pertains to Woods’ situation, but it’s clear the team is behind him during this time and supports him completely.

“It was a personal matter. That’s all we are going to say about that,” he said. “We love him, respect him, we are with him and his family all the way and that’s really where we will leave that at.”

I don't like the sound of it . It would take a lot to keep Woods off the field, so it couldn't be good for him or the Rams . Wishing him well either way , but the Rams need him back ASAP

McVay said Woods is in a good place, not worried about his well being.

that’s all we got. Respect his personal space and take the high road by not speculating.

Well posted Maxie, even though we live in a society that demands information whether it is accurate or not, let's wish Woods the best with hope that he's back soon and all is well.

Rams are going to need Woods vs Ravens. I hope his being out for "personel reasons" has nothing to do with him being upset with the Rams. He didn't look very happy on the sidelines at the end of the Pittsburg game.

As of yesterday McVay still wouldn't say anything about why Woods wasn't available.

Naturally they'll need him but I think things will be ok with Reynolds and Thomas. I like what I saw from both Sunday Night. With another week of practice they'll be even better.

I'm not sweating the Ravens really. Not that it won't be a tough game...but should the Rams beat them it wouldn't be a shocker. Not with the Rams defense.

The guy that owns the seat next to mine at the Coliseum has a connection with the Woods family. From what he told me, it's a family issue. Since the info isn't direct, that's all I want to post. I won't know the veracity of the info until the story comes out, if it comes out.

Yeah I am all for respecting his personal space

But there is no high or low road here - we need Robert Woods on the field. And this is a football forum dedicated to the Rams. We have every right as a fan to speculate what the heck is going on.

He doesn't have to. Leave him alone (not you personally obviously).

Leave him alone? This isn't a Britney Spears rant is it?

I mean we aren't affecting his day or his situation by wondering or asking questions are we?
I mean are we on this humble fan forum somehow the gatekeepers to his well-being? No. So then we can do and say whatever we want, right?

But how is wishing Woods well (which we all do) and wondering about what is going on mutually exclusive? I don't get it.

Su'a Cravens , Woods teammate at USC was making suicidal tweets and messages over the weekend, some think that Woods left to check up on his friend.
