Having watched him start his career in Buffalo I thought the Woods signing at the time was a very bad idea. Turns out it was simply a case of a guy being wasted on a piss poor team. Loved what he brought to the Rams when we finally got to see him on the field.

Robert Woods! The guy that turned around our receiver group. May we never return to the days of Chris Givens and Brandon Gibson. Thanks for being a pro and mentoring Kupp!

And Donnie Avery?

What about that Rams legend Drew Bennett?!?!?!?

Congrats, Robert Woods. On a personal note, I remember most questioning the signing and the cost of signing him. At the time, I said he was a steal at the price they paid. His all-around solid ability of blocking, running, and pass catching was underrated in Buffalo. Sammy Watkins was getting more targets. which limited his numbers. Robert showed the all-around talent and unselfishness that became the standard for Rams WRs in the McVay era.

Woods was a Professional, and also pretty talented. My favorite play from him though was a running play. I think it was 2017 against Washington (could be wrong). 3rd and 33 and Goff hands the ball off to Woods and somehow he runs for a first down.
It was a third-down touchdown play against the Giants in 2017. Third-and-thirty-three around the fifty, bubble screen, and Woods housed it.

See the play at the 3:09 mark in the above video. That's the play you are talking about.

I was at that game. Put 51 on the board that day in North Jersey.

I wonder if Woods has any interest in coaching? Wouldn't be a bad guy to have in the building.

I loved that play. Besides the Great Result, there was an added element that the analyst stated just before the ball was snapped "there is NO Play for a third-and-33" ... the analyst was former-Giants-RB Tiki Barber.
