Really hope Pleasant wasnt the scapegoat for an underwhelming DB group that everyone and their mom had concerns about in the off-season. Unless of course this is the group he actually wanted to trot out there.

Woods is such a PRO, I remember in 2012 his last season as a Trojan, Marqise Lee went off leaving Woods in his shadow.
Woods ended up getting drafted in round 2 and despite not be an elite athlete (for that position) he worked hard and got better and better from route running to a blocking.
This is the exact type of player we want in that WR room, a lead by example guy. Good on you Mr Woods, I am sure you will excell...again.

If so I guess that he'd be the "scapegoat" at his last two stops. Tough luck.

I hope Kingsbury can help with McVay's tendencies. They may not be the right way to say it, maybe give some alternative thinking. Woods' positivity has to rub off on the WR group. I could see him working with the younger guys on technique. McVay has a knack for finding good coaching fits.

This is a grown up league. With real results that impact people's livelihood when they fail to get the job done.

Also accountability is a requirement if you want to be a champion. If you're looking for a social program and participation trophies you won't be in the NFL for long.

I hate for anyone to lose their jobs, but I must admit I was hoping some type of move was made. I just wish he got a DC job elsewhere.
Great guy, but I agree I was hoping he would get a DC gig too. I knew Rams had to tap into Lake with his vast experience in the secondary.

True, and Pleasant didn't last long in Detroit either. So maybe there was a legit reason for that. Or maybe they just want to tweak the scheme and feel he might not he a great fit for teaching that scheme.

Is it just me, or is the offensive staff stacked? Heck of a LOT of talented and well thought of offensive minds.

Interesting how you skipped the whole part I wrote after that. Would you agree that our db room was a huge question mark going into the season? If the answer is yes, then do you think its fair that Pleasant was possibly fired for not turning a shit sandwich into gold? How should Pleasant be held accountable for decisions he doesnt make? Now if he did like what he was given, then like I said, thats on him.
