Yup. Mathis was definitely whoring sacks. He's old. Mathis won't get near that number again. He will end up as a trivia question when people wonder who beat out Robert Quinn for the first Deacon Jones Award.

In his 11 year career, this was the first time Mathis had more than 11.5 sacks.
 
Yea that sucks. They shouldn't have tacked on that late BS sack near the end if the year. But atleast we know that Quinn will probably lead the league in sacks for a long time. Respect the Mighty Quinn!:bigup:
 
Ah, give Mathis credit. You don't reach that level by luck. He had a hell of a season.

Besides; I'm sure Quinn is even more hungry for the sack title coming so close.

He knew he was in trouble heading into the final week, so he appealed that sack. Ended up being the deciding margin :rolleyes:
