I had forgotten that Kupp was the ENTIRETY of the Rams offense in the final game winning drive. The drive was a sack, two Kupp catches for 64 yards, and a spiked ball.

Just like Kupp was basically the entirety of the offense in the SB winning drive.

Overall vs TB, Kupp had 9 catches for 183 yards.

Kupp was an absolute monster all season long AND throughout the playoffs.

I remember a lot of praise for the great Tom Brady leading them back from a 27-3 deficit to tie the score. In reality it wasn't Brady. It was the 3 fumbles lost in the 4th quarter that put them in that position.

.

Good ol Troy Reeder. Had the chance to be the hero of the day but decided to whiff instead. It's not like fournette was a shifty rb. Untouched you should be able to take him down. Alas Reeder has zero lateral movement ability.

Crazy game. Cam Akers started the comeback when he fumbled on the 1 yard line. Then Ramsey got burnt by Evans for a long score. And Gay's game winning kick was almost blocked.

The guy throwing the ball was a pretty-big-part of it too.

By-the-way, the Stafford No Look Pass to Kupp on the game-winning Super Bowl drive was ... In My Opinion ... the Single Best Pass I have seen in 55 years of watching the NFL. Considering the situation, what was better?

Also, on this opinion ... I completely lack any semblance of objectivity.

by their skinny teeth teeth
Al Michaels Lost It a long time ago, in my opinion.

Even in last night's Bills/Texans game, there were several huge plays where Michaels was a couple seconds late on grasping the importance and impact. Not his fault. Something to be expected from an 81-year-old.

lol, yeah I guess I could have worded that a bit better. Of course Stafford is the engine that makes it all go. I meant to say "of the non-qb skill position players."...Kupp was da man that year.

Akers sure as hell wasn't... Rams seemed to win despite of him, not because of his help, especially in the playoffs. And in that Super Bowl, Higbee was injured, and OBJ was out the second half. Only other guy to catch passes on the SB game-winning drive was Brycen freakin' Hopkins.

Just think it's cool that Kupp came through, especially when defenses were keying on him. But yes, I'm a Rams Homer so of course I give all the props in the world to Stafford as well, again and again throughout the playoffs. And yes, that no-look pass was insane.

100% the best throw in the history of the NFL. Nothing comes close

This was the game that showed me that this Rams team had "it".
Stafford proved he had nerves of steel with this game winning drive. I vividly remember watching the pass play to Coop, seeing Stafford throwing deep, and then seeing Coop with a couple of yards on the defender downfield.
Hoping the pass was accurate, we watched it (although it was just a tad short) being caught within chip shot field goal range.
An easy spike for Stafford and freaking heart attack for me. Rams win as time expires !!!!!
The Rams now had a QB who can win it on the last drive, which was something this team hadn't had since the Kurt Warner days.
I rank this game and this drive with the whiners playoff game in '99, when the Rams beat down the whiners. It showed me the Rams were for real.
The Buc's playoff game, and this drive, is what separated MS9 from Goff at the time, in my mind.
This win over Brady and the Bucs is the "other" game when I believed the Rams had a real shot at winning a Super Bowl.
