I saw the Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire at a discount theatre showing a double feature for $1.

And those two movies were perfectly fine for that small theatre.

I doubt I could find a theatre now for under $15.

No doubt. The song "Pretty in Pink" was a favorite from the jump, with the unigue vibe at that time and raspy vocal cadence.
Did watch movie. Guilty as charged with the Molly Ringwald crush.
