Both teams missed opportunities. The Rams got the second-half TD drive they needed. Rams defense held when they had to. A good win and a chance to clean things up. I think AD just said that in his post-game interview.

I'm kinda pizzed that he outgained Stafford on the ground...
We know how to defend him just like we did very well against Wilson. That coverage that pissed so many people off helped us to win this game. It was a scheme that McVay complimented in his post game presser saying Morris and company did great. We give them soft coverage and apply pressure without the blitz while keeping contain. You give dangerous runners no lane to run and easy short passes. As McVay said we gave up a lot of dink and dunks but the defense was great. He had 5.4 YPA today about half what Stafford had and we aren't happy with the offensive performance today.

Listen to McVay in his presser talk about the defense and Morris. He clearly thought they did very good.

Great movie reference :) BTW resident Movie guru you think they'll ever try to remake that movie? It seems at first thought to be blasphemy to even think about doing it.

One thing about the Rams is they stay the course. There were points in the game where I thought we would blow it and lose the lead but we ended up coming thru. Definitely a veteran team out there.

Some of the young guys looked decent today too.

Probably not , but if you think about it , that movie has already been remade a hundered times , every college fraternity movie has pretty much copied it one way or another

I think that was all about a young secondary and a secondary that has not played together as a unit before, and not getting them burned deep for big plays. Make the Cards execute 15 play drives and score TDs that way...They couldn't do it.

All I did was repeat McVay's presser and describe what we did. And when I said we played that way you said in the GDT I was told I was wrong so it is what it is. They did well today and their coach was pleased.
