I will spend the next 3 months selling everything i own to put it all on the over. Playing the worst divisions in both conferences should account for at keast 6 wins

Sportbooks do not give a damn if they are right or wrong. They are not sports experts. They are psychology experts. The odds are set to try to get the same amount of money bet on both sides of a prop, so that they make their money by the casino cut, not by winning more bets than they lose. Oddsmakers who try to win more bets than they lose are soon unemployed. Just set the odds so that the money is equally laid down on each side, and the casino is certain to profit.

IOW, don't take it personal. 8.5 was picked because they expect the same amount of money laid down on each side. They literally do not give a damn, so long as the money laid down on either side balances out.

Yeah I stated that in a post on another thread but this one got my emotions up that the overall public thinks so lowly of the Rams that 8.5 wins would be the over under

Yeah its not personal its just perception and the perception of the rams demise and niners and seahawks success is at the very least overrated. That's why I like the over.

Seems about right. We were a 9 win team and we are losing a bunch of starters. Little cap space and light in draft picks. How we handle the coming season will say a lot about our leadership.

I think 8.5 is fair, although I would have put us at 9 since McVay hasn't won less than that.

My beefs are with Seattle and Dallas being ahead of us.

Never been keen on Vegas odds, I just expect this Rams to do well in getting a winning season deep into the playoffs and those who bet on the Rams beating those odds get rewarded handsomely

I’d take the over but I think we as a fan base are going to have to get used to being disrespected until we re-earn respect

we were not very good last year. What outsiders see in the Rams is a team who shat the bed in the Super Bowl and then didn’t even make the playoffs the following year.

add to that the toughest division in football and 8.5 may be a pretty good betting line.

I'll take that bet Vegas. Winning that over will help fund my Super Bowl victory bet I'm gonna put down on the Rams. (y)

Vegas has some very knowledgeable people in their line setters. You can't do that job with a dartboard lol. And if you aren't good at it, you don't last long.

Oh and btw you guys can thank me for the 9ers losing the Super Bowl. I bet all my ROD dolla on them to jinx them seeing as how I have such terrible luck. Took one for the team and all that. :p
