For sure. I think we'd get someone to compete with Dunbar for that role because of the injuries, or let Green compete for it. But I agree with you, we need consistency, so we need a backup plan to Dunbar in that case. I guess McVay just doesn't see Benny as a fit for the role he wants so I don't think he's even in the picture anymore

They were talking today (SiriusNFL) about the free agent RBs left and basically said, they're not going to get signed until they come back to reality with their $. They're not going to get huge deals (or long term) and will probably be available this time next week too. Why give a 30, or 29 or 28 year old RB huge jack when you get a younger one in the draft, who can do the same things and costs less?

The dude is a player. 30? I don't care. He still moves quick. He's still strong as all get out. And he's a class citizen in the locker room and community. Sign him, yesterday!!!

Could be, but he let Zuerlein wait in the cold for awhile, ... although coach didn't bring in another K to examine.

Plus we still have Fassel, and the ST coach is pretty better at choosing his kicker than an offensive guy is. I think it was mostly just a negotiating hang up or a "let us worry about our other priorities, we'll get to you I promise" sort of thing.

Benny and the Rams just seem destined for a breakup entirely.

Because Lance barely played at all last year and tore his acl the year before. And I believe Benny catches a lot of screens which isn't the same as being a receiver out of the backfield IMO

Not sure to be honest with you. But if we sign Barwin and Groy, along with the 7 million for our rookie class, we have to be pretty tight against the cap. Maybe a cap guru can help us out here.
