The Avenger movies and Guardians of the Galaxy movies were awesome.

And the Batman movies depends on which one. A couple of them were just awful.
Loved Guardians of the Galaxy. Not a single bad movie amongst that trilogy, and they kept one-upping each other and were better than the last one. The third is about as good a movie you'll ever see.
Avengers? ...Eh. I really like some of the new Marvel stuff (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, in particular, was a favorite series of mine, and it set up so many possibilities and depicted the characters as morally-gray - yes, even the Falcon/Captain America - in such a way that you felt for each of them, even the antagonists. The newer Spider-Man movies, live-action and Spider-Verse, are amazing. The first Venom was excellent. Loved Daredevil - all of them - and the first Punisher series. Loved the second Steven Strange Movie, Multiverse of Madness. And Deadpool - all three - are awesome movies.), but I'm really, REALLY hesitant on a lot of the stuff that's come out lately (examples include every other New York series, the second Punisher series, Agents of Shield, etc.).
Pitting the Thunderbolts*, a fantastic team rivaling the more well-known Suicide Squad, but with this iteration having little-to-no superpowers (which is my main gripe, considering who they were up against) against the fucking SENTRY (technically the Void, which shares the negative versions of Sentry's powers, albeit possibly even more powerful, so my point still stands) - who is a potential world-ending threat with the Void, with power that rivals and arguably beats even Superman and can give a hell of a fight to - if not outright kick the ass of - LITERALLY ALMOST EVERY SUPERPOWERED BEING IN THE MCU IN A SOLO FIGHT, INCLUDING THANOS AND GALACTUS (giving a hell of a fight to both; they're multiverse threats, but the fact that he can do that solo is absolutely impressive) - was beyond stupid.
And they did Taskmaster - one of the best characters with tons of potential to actually be a key member of the team, only to kill her off in the beginning of the film in such a stupid way. And yes, it was fucking stupid: she and Ghost were two of my favorites, and it sucked to see a favorite kill off another favorite without any fanfare. - SOOO fucking dirty. SO - FUCKING - DIRTY! I wanted to see more of her, more of her character growth, not have her reduced to a punchline after being killed off!

So, yeah, while I loved the Guardians trilogy more than most movies in existence, and it ranks up as a trilogy to the original Lord of the Rings (which is the golden benchmark of all trilogies in existence. Fuck Star Wars. All three of the trilogies; George Lucas is such an overrated fuckstick of a director, and the original trilogy had its own faults, too. It's only good for memes in the current day. Some of the Extended books, a few of the modern series, and the cartoon Clone Wars were excellent, though.), I'm just not a fan of a lot of Marvel movies and series nowadays.
And before anyone says the "old days" were great...honestly, there were a lot of older Marvel movies and series that absolutely deserved to bomb: original Hulk (Norton and basically everyone were just flat-out bad as far as acting in this film, and thank holy fate they replaced him with Mark Ruffalo), Iron Man 2 and 3 (even though they introduced War Machine in a positive way - and still did him dirty - I hated those movies as far as antagonists went.), every Thor movie aside from the first one (for obvious reasons), Civil War (not that it was bad, but because it just didn't capture the scope of the entirety of what Tony Stark's decision and mistakes caused as far as a ripple effect), the second Avengers movie (reducing Ultron to a punchline and killing off Quicksilver in such a stupid way), etc.
Lots of bad Marvel movies/series out there.

Was watching Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid last night. Very entertaining. Think it was TMC and they were talking about actors they were considering opposite Paul Newman. Jack Lemon was supposed to play the Kid. That would have been interesting.
I was thinking mostly of the first Avengers movie and Infinity War and Endgames - all 3 were awesome that I can watch over and over again. The others - ehh. I consider any movie that I can watch over and over again a great movie for entertainment value.
I can't tell you how many times I watched The Great Escape.
That's fair. I can't tell you how many times I watched The Lion King (and Lion King 2: Simba's Pride; now that was an absolutely underrated movie, and Kovu and Kiara are a OTP ship for me as far as that series goes - and I absolutely adore Simba and Nala.), Anastasia (obviously not historically accurate, but an absolutely amazing movie with one of the best songs in the history of filming in Once Upon a December. We don't talk about Bartok the Magnificent, though.), The Little Mermaid (and the sequel, The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea - like LK2:SP, a very, very underrated movie), and a ton of other older Disney movies I watched as a kid, grew to love, and watched over and over again (to the consternation of my parents).
Never mind that I was far too young to realize just how dark a lot of those movies were; that was a lot of my childhood.
I bet. My favorite Disney movie is Aladdin. I loved Robin Williams as the Genie. The parade part was awesome.
I watched all three Aladdin movies. Loved all three, and yeah, they were a part of my childhood, too. (There was a different voice in the second, but Robin returned as the Genie in the third.)
Robin Williams was a worldwide treasure. Still miss him to this day.
The Avengers wasn't for me but I'll agree on the other stuff. Guardians was a pretty fun series.
