Perkins becomes #2 QB and Wolford goes to the PS opening another roster spot for one more RB or WR.
That's huge prediction and I will be the first to honor you if it comes to fruition. I don't think it does because of the trust McVay has with Wolford. IMO, one more year with Wolford, next year Perkins will become number 2, but the Rams will draft a QB to develop too.

Hahahaha... someone read Jourdan this morning. That suggestion was some crazy 3D chess. As much as I don't think it will happen, it really does smack of the Rams zigging when others zag.

Rams platoon of edge rushers lead them to not make a trade for an edge at a pass rusher at the deadline.

Non Rams: The Bears will be the worst team in football and will have ruined Fields as a QB after two seasons of not helping him.

Midseason deal for a half-season Clowney rental takes place after Browns drop six of first eight games. Rams give up a 4th round pick.

eeeeehhhh, I'd argue that Clowney is a lesser version of Floyd at this point in his career. He was also never a dominate pass rusher but more a complete DE like Floyd. If we trade, I would expect it to be for a pass rush specialist.

True, but he's on a cheap prove it deal. Cap hit for last 9 games would be low. It's his chance to benefit from AD stat inflation before he hits the market (and maybe gets his only shot at a ring). We probably get the pick back as a comp (a year later) when he signs somewhere else (for too much money).

We've all seen this play out before. Watch as Von suddenly looks mortal again this season.

This would be amazing, but I don't see it working out that way.
That's what makes this cool.. it's a bold prediction... I like it!!!

From what I've seen of the two, I'd be shocked if that happens.

But that's what bold predictions are for!!

Earnest Brown IV will make the active roster.

One or all of Burgess, Rapp, and/or Perkins will be traded.

Bruss will be the starting right guard by the fifth game.
Scorching hot predictions!

I'm with you on #3.. Out on the other two.

Re: keeping Perkins and stashing Wolford on practice squad. Jourdan suggested it as a way to keep all three with the number crunch. If Wolford were to make it through to PS, another team would have to elevate him to 53 man to take him after that. She intimated that keeping all three could help with Stafford's elbow issue (I assume this would mean he'd not take as many reps in practice - eeeeek) and also the benefit could be that they would have both able to run scout team, Wolford giving them the looks of more traditional QB and Perkins giving them the looks of a Trey Lance/Kyler Murray type.

And I think she was just painting possibilities, not probabilities.

If I had money to bet, it’s easily on Wolford.

Agreed. I don't think it's a high probability. My hunch is that she's painting the secondary option of having one of them on the practice squad.

I'd say 60% chance of Stafford/Wolford and trying to stash Perkins and 20% chance of Stafford/Perkins (try to stash Wolford) and a 20% chance they're all on the 53. All subject to some hog wild sh*t happening in the next three weeks.

I'm high on EB4, what can I say? Especially with BB3 out for six games (potentially more if his ankle acts up), I think EB4 has a reasonbale chance to make the roster. Maybe Hoecht, Copeland, and Jonah Williams win the jobs, but I have faith in our 2021 fifth round pick.

As for the second prediction: we have a glut of safeties. Burgess, even though he's played badly, still has value as a former third round pick. He could easily gain us a conditional pick. Then Rapp is in the last year of his contract and doesn't really have a spot (Scott and Fuller are simply better, and you still have Yeast and Rapp, along with Isom, who played well last night. Safety's the easiest position to replace, and even though I'm a Rapp fan and have been since he was drafted, he's likely gone after this year, so why not get something for him?

As for Perkins being tradebait? Let's be frank: Wolford's our starter. Some team is going to need a quarterback, and Perkins fits the mold of a potential backup with higher upside.

Charles Robinson on his latest Pod was all over Robinson as has everyone. Great prediction and strong probability. History shows Kupp will revert a little closer to the mean.
